Just found this video on TH-cam - really good, and captures many of the highlights of this river. Markjick - I'm part of a small walking group and we've just covered the 86 miles of the Tyne from Tynemouth to the source of the southern arm of the river high up in the northern Pennines, above Garrigill, and we're just beginning the walk from the source of the North Tyne to 'waters' meet' near Hexham !

Lovely video displays much that can be seen following the "River Tyne Trail" the 135 mile walk which I co-authored with John Laidler for Daft as a Brush Cancer Patient Care, published by Sigma Press in 2015

The video with Haydon Bridge is where I jumped into the river from the ledge in the deepest part!

FROM YAHOONEWS JULY192022: At least 13 people have died in open water over the heatwave period and water safety organisations are concerned that the toll may climb as schools break up for the summer holidays.
At least four people under the age of 17 have died in open water since Saturday, with the youngest confirmed as 13-year-old Robert Hattersley, who got into difficulties in the River Tyne near Ovingham, Northumberland on Sunday.

You missed the best part of the south Tyne between the source and to haydon bridge!

Hello, I am conducting a university project about the river Tyne. Would it be possible to have this video without the writing on it for my project? Preferably just the scenes of the river itself
    Thanks

No problem to provide you with the raw scenes of the river Tyne, but first I would like to know something more about your project. Please send me an email with more information to: info@reizen-langs-rivieren.nl.
Cheers, Dick Versteeg, editor-in-chief Travelling along Rivers.
