Hi. Fantastic video. Loved it a lot. I also play similar games and like them. Yours seems a little bit different though. Anyways, keep it up. Thanks a lot!
This video is more focusing on test strategy documentation, is there any video that shows with example how you planned test strategy for Agile Project.
Hi Sir... I have seen many of the videos of yours... its really helpful. I would like to know some information about mobile testing also. Will be glad if u provide some information.
Hi Inder, looks nice video..Thanks for sharing it with us.. Just looking for one more favor..Please share the videos for QTP and Selenium as well to help out gets hands on in automation area.
Rajesh Ahirrao Hi Rajesh, welcome back. I don't have QTP/ UFT videos mainly because there are already so many such videos out there. My Selenium videos are at th-cam.com/play/PLc3SzDYhhiGUrFqriDJjdxTmND0D3pgYG.html
when we exactly write the test plan in agile... at the beginning of project as other model follows or in each sprint???? and which kind of testing perform in each sprint????
vandana singh This example test strategy/ test plan is for the whole project. It would be overkill to write this for each 2 to 6 week spring. The types of tests that you should do in each sprint should depend on the business objectives of that sprint and the overall project test strategy.
thanks a lot... do you have any video on Jira tool to explain about testing tasks... from req gathering(prepare test plan, test data, req tractability matrix...tc writing,) to defect logging... I am looking for a complete Jira tool package...
Digital Technical That was my local copy. You can get the content shown in the video from my blog post at inderpsingh.blogspot.com/2013/03/ExampleTestStrategy.html
+Gorby Smith Hi, As you know, every project is unique. So is every organization. Therefore, it depends. One may document an Agile test strategy for the project if it would provide sufficient value to the project stakeholders for the effort it takes. If not, one may instead discuss and agree the test strategy with the team. I think the latter is the more likely choice. Thank you.
Hi, Is it required to have 1 test strategy and 1 test plan for Each story? if no, kindly explain when do we have to write test strategy. thanks in advance.
Nora D No, not at all. Even designing a different test strategy for every sprint would be an overkill. We can design a test strategy at the beginning of the project and refine it throughout the project based on the business needs.
Hello sir, I was wondering for the test approach could I have one small statement stating what type of test will be carried out/ rather then have it long a too descriptive? I was wondering if there is any way that if you can help me create a small test approach statement? Such as how it should be written and what it should include. If you an please assist... thank you!
The purpose of the test strategy document is to provide focus to the testers and clarity to the stakeholders. It is up to you to document it in short or in detail. You can refer my test approach sample in my article at inderpsingh.blogspot.com/2013/03/ExampleTestStrategy.html
No, that is just one section. Strategy and approach are synonyms. The entire test strategy is the test approach. It is up to you how you want to summarize it without losing any important point.
Typically, the Test Lead (full-time or part-time role played by a team member) prepares the test strategy and plan. You can learn more about this role in my video at th-cam.com/video/Ms4UuViEvqI/w-d-xo.html
Danny Bold Yes, I offer Selenium and JMeter training via training videos. I have put more details at inderpsingh.blogspot.com/2013/10/SeleniumTraining.html
Hi Rohit, there are 37 videos in my Software Testing Tutorials playlist. Refer my video on tips to get software testing jobs and others at th-cam.com/video/1xqdidQONfM/w-d-xo.html
I am not sure how this is "Agile". Software test engineers have been following these processes for 30 years and not much has changed. Looks like you just slapped the "Agile" label on all the processes and procedures we have we have always been doing.
The example Test Strategy shown starts with an introduction to Agile. An important guiding standard is mentioned as the shared responsibility of quality and testing. Some of the guidelines mentioned in Test execution strategy section are more pertinent to Agile than to other software development models. Examples of these guidelines mentioned include 1) Agile testing must be iterative. 2) Focus on value-added activities. 3) Be flexible to contribute in any way. Hope this clarifies it.
Sorry, I don't buy it... "Agile" is a development process that relies on less formal documentation and more face-to-face interaction. While that is nice to have, if you can get team members to go for it, it doesn't make "testing" more "agile". As far as "Agile Development" goes, I have worked several places that say "We are Agile", but in reality, the are an "Agile Hybrid", which means they pick and choose "parts" of the documented "Agile" process, but none of them would be what I consider a TRUE "Agile Development" house. Now there isn't anything wrong with that, but don't call things "Agile" when they are really not.
It is very possible that different software development teams are "Agile" to different extents. The main things in Agile development are early and frequent delivery of working software, always welcome changes to requirements and the development team working closely with business people. This is concisely referred in the Agile Manifesto at agilemanifesto.org/

Hi,
Under Agile would you advocate producing an Agile Test Strategy at project level but not at the organisational level?
Thanks
David

Where you referring to (Test Execution strategy) as the test approach that I could use? Thank you for your response!
No, that is just one section. Strategy and approach are synonyms. The entire test strategy is the test approach. It is up to you how you want to summarize it without losing any important point.
