Great question! I used the 5 string that I have because I liked the sound I got out of it better for this song than the Jackson (even though David Ellefson is the reason I wanted that bass)

It was either use a Jackson, or use a 5 string. Both have ties to the original bassist, but I used the one with the brand new strings
