@@-Cheif It's not exactly addicting, but replayable. Since it's so short but it's densely packed with secrets and optimization opportunities, it can feel somewhat new every time.
this game probably had the best soundtrack of any gba-game ever, right next to metroid fusion. and this was one of its best songs. aaw.. these two games were so atmospheric and epic. i only wish they were longer.
how do you use the damn red buttons on the celing? just started playing this game never played it before, can it be done with missiles ice beam or bombs?
I love the original NES Norfair theme, and the Brawl rendition feels like a beautiful homage to the classic track. But this... this truly feels like a Metroid tune. Honoring and enhancing the classic, enchanting arrangement of the original Metroid sound, mixing in a bit of a Super Metroid vibe starting at 0:54 to make it clear that you're on the same planet as you were on back in the SNES days, all while having adopted the superb feel of a Prime music theme to tie it all together. The Norfair theme in all its renditions is great, but this one stands as one of my all-time favorite Metroid tracks.
This is by far the best Norfair remake in Metroid gaming History....I would love to have this song played when I make my entrance into my job office =)
funny how i used to think this game was a REMAKE of super metroid, but its not. its a remake of the first metroid. at the end, just the metroid area got blown up and went into ruins and thats when samus came back and ventured even deeper into the planet. This game was like the halo reach of the metroid games. LOVE THIS GAME AND SUPER METROID!!!!! :D
Brawl Murdered this song... Q.Q Zero mission did it right! =D All metroid music is suppost to be incredibly ambient in nature, and set the mood for wherever it plays...
This version makes me imagine what Nintendo did to the NES version: . They took the NES version, ripped it to shreds, glued it back together with Epic Glue and Awesome Tape, then put it in the game. . In other words, it's just simply win.
i remember hearing this the first time i played zero mission(it seems like yesterday to me) even tho its been 3 years, anyway i had a feeling that i was gonna get the ice beam and i did get it and i had never played the nes version until i unlocked it on this game
The original music from Metroid sounded like ''you better be careful or you will die. You will also get lost all the time'' This one sounds like ''it's hot in here *takes out a fa... i mean Varia Suit*''
The original version due to it's simplicity sounded a lot creepier. This version takes the original and makes it sound a lot more epic. Either way both versions of Norfair kick ass
Holy crap is this version freaky. The bad GBA sound compression makes those vocal parts even scarier... but wow, it would've really been cool to hear this take on the song remastered for Brawl.
The only Metroid I couldn't play was the first one... too hard for me :( I played EVERY OTHER except for Metroid 2 and loved all of them, and I look foward to trying Metroid 2.
Really? I think this one sounds even more depressing, morbid, and eerie than the original. Really makes it seem like the entrance to hell, which is basically what it is (Ridley's lair being Hell itself).
@mirokyu If you mean taking the concept from Ridley Scott's Alien, then yes, you're right. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Metroid and think the franchise did Scott's work tremendous justice.
@Fuyosa Well, the 3DS Ambassador Program revealed that Fusion will be coming to the 3DS eShop, so you'll be able to download it there later this year. Or, if you've already got a 3DS, you'll get it for free when it's released on there.
@Wolvenblaze The original version of this song sounded like someone dialing on an old phone to the theme of, "Nah, nah, nah nah, nah!" This version, well... Sounds like a chorus of fallen angles saying their final laments before they fall deep into Hell.
@darkryder80 actually zero mission is a remake itself: its the remake of the original Metroid, as for a remake of Super Metroid, I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU!!!!
@toad1114 look up how and install the homebrew channel, music replacement in brawl is actually very simple once you know what your doing, its easier than murder thats for shur xD
I felt as though he was referring to the whole atmosphere of the game, which I'm assuming he's construing as scary, when it's just extremely alien. I am very likely wrong about this assumption about what he's saying, though.
I like how Samus looks proud of the explosion she just made.
She probably is.
Guilherme de Souza Pimentel of course she proud it’s what she does blowing up a planet is nothing to the great Intergalactic hunter
"I made this" :3
Samus is the type of person to read the whole terms of agreement and hit decline
@@ros9764 she's the type of person that shoots the terms and say "what terms?"
They really said "let's make every track have a choir" and everyone agreed. And I mean... I couldn't say otherwise, this track slaps.
The little "ch ch" noises in the background sound like what salt and pepper shakers sound like.
ZeldaMusicPlayer1 brilliant :D
+ZeldaMusicPlayer1 Samus be shakin' it like a salt shaker!
+WarpWorld7 wtf😂😂😂😂haha
DAMN IT now I can't unhear! You ruined the song for me!
Sounds like the ch-ch's in Red Brinstar in Super Metroid too.
Most addicting Metroid game ever. I have beaten it several times.
Several dozen

This is still my favorite version of Norfair.
For sure!
Samus doesn't like this video because she has forgotten the varia suit
When you are on the deep part of the pool
Ahh, norfair. This music made it my favorite part of the game. Feet first into hell...
(Btw, norfair kinda is hell, being a lake of fire and all...)
how do you use the damn red buttons on the celing? just started playing this game never played it before, can it be done with missiles ice beam or bombs?
Red buttons? Describe them.
no, it was the generator for the rail system, got it now, but thanks anyway.
omg i remeber my husband had this game and i loved it when he went to this level, oh this brings back memories!!!!
I love this version of the song, it just has this epic feel to it.
I love the original NES Norfair theme, and the Brawl rendition feels like a beautiful homage to the classic track.

I remember this tune back in the 80's on NES. I was so happy when ZERO MISSION dropped. Hearing this tune polished sounds amazing!
I remember favoriting this video YEARS ago! Talk about a time capsule. I miss my old account...
Hello! How are things, six years later? Which is your favorite Metroid?
Lol, and this comment is from years ago.
Bruh this comment is 7 years old how tf you have an older account
@@tomaspalma5168 my account is 14 years old
my favorite norfair song is its second part in super metroid
Still the best norfair version. 0:53 Is my favorite part.
UberTuberBackPacker it’s so intense 😂
Interesting. I strongly disagree, I personally find this version incredibly grating. I highly prefer the original NES version.
GBA has some of the best game music of all time
A lot of time was spent listening to this song while not knowing where the Hell to go next.
This is by far the best Norfair remake in Metroid gaming History....I would love to have this song played when I make my entrance into my job office =)
The beginning is like Brinstar's red soil, then it's slowly becomes like norfair depths/magomor caves. Amazing piece for gba music.
i can listen to this all day!i love metroid!!!!!
Metroid Zero Mission is the win. I'm glad it was the first game I ever bought for my GBA and since then I've completed the gallery.
The best song!
So many memories this 4 minutes gives me back to me.
funny how i used to think this game was a REMAKE of super metroid, but its not. its a remake of the first metroid. at the end, just the metroid area got blown up and went into ruins and thats when samus came back and ventured even deeper into the planet. One of the best GBA games I played... and the GBA is my favorite portable game system ever !
Why can I not get this out of my head?
My new ringtone.
Brawl Murdered this song... Q.Q Zero mission did it right! =D
All metroid music is suppost to be incredibly ambient in nature, and set the mood for wherever it plays...
You must've not made it to where you fight the metroids. Those things are a real horror.
This version makes me imagine what Nintendo did to the NES version:
.

this was my favorite side scroller metroid game, then metroid fusion, then super metroid, then metroid 2
this was my favorite song on this game
Epic!
When chuck goes to bed he checks his closet for Samus.
freaking epic! metroid Has the best soundtracks
even just hearing this song makes me sweat like as if there were 30 degres in my room
Celsius I'm assuming
I liked the Brawl remix and all, but they should have made it more like this one. Feels so amazing, so mysterious, so epic.
I like all the Norfair songs, but I like this one best. Zero Mission was awesome, they should've had something from it in Brawl.
Zero Mission for the GBA truly was a masterpeice of Nintendo's.
Es el sonido más espiritual que he escuchado (junto con el de lower norfair de super metroid ).
This song was stuck in my head for about a month 😅
The ultimate sense of isolation doesn't really quite equate to horror in my book, but I can see where you're coming from.
@TrioTriforce That's Retrostudios for you. You can hear this "vocal undertone" here even in Donkey Kong Country Returns.
I Would Kill To Have This Version In Brawl
This song for some reason sounds fucking epic...
This game is FLAWLESS
this one gave me the chills
i beat it 17 times, gonna get back to the 18th time, my favorite part is in chozo ruins as zero suit :D your like a spy!
Norfair is no fair
i remember hearing this the first time i played zero mission(it seems like yesterday to me) even tho its been 3 years,
anyway i had a feeling that i was gonna get the ice beam and i did get it
and i had never played the nes version until i unlocked it on this game
This version is better than the original, IMO. Just that extra part there makes all the difference.
Love it!
AHAHAHAHAH
music's from metroid zero are the best!
.
Metroid was survival horror before survival horror was even a concept.
The original music from Metroid sounded like ''you better be careful or you will die. You will also get lost all the time''
This one sounds like ''it's hot in here *takes out a fa... i mean Varia Suit*''
I'm on acid °.°
oh boy must have been an awesome trip
No, you're on lava.
sounds a lot like a mix of kraid and red soil area.
They seriously did not have to go that hard for a fucking gbs game like holy shit I can feel the skin melting off my bones listening to this.
The original version due to it's simplicity sounded a lot creepier. This version takes the original and makes it sound a lot more epic. Either way both versions of Norfair kick ass
I'm not really fond of Zero Mission, but this piece of music is very fine. Very fitting for Norfair.
Holy crap is this version freaky. The bad GBA sound compression makes those vocal parts even scarier... but wow, it would've really been cool to hear this take on the song remastered for Brawl.

i don't know why but this song remember when i was young boy and playing in basement at my parternal grand-parent's home
This sounds like it could fit in Halo as well (if the redid it a bit).
They completely murdered it in SSBB.
This song is great atmosperic and creepy and I feel the rather poor sound quality on the vocals adds to the creepy factor
@mirokyu If you mean taking the concept from Ridley Scott's Alien, then yes, you're right. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Metroid and think the franchise did Scott's work tremendous justice.

That's because it IS fucking epic.
Oh my god, my thoughts EXACTLY.
Great remake track from the original, Metroid game, 5/5 stars.
gorobad. :-)
OOH BUBBLES
This is so much better than the Brawl version.
Oh. That would explain it.
My favorite track in the game. 0:54 onwards is fire.
X2
I wish it was in Smash games! But at least we got Magmoor caves theme from Metroid II Samus return on 3DS!
I liked the "remix", as well as this one.
I like this one more than the original one ngl
@darkryder80 actually zero mission is a remake itself: its the remake of the original Metroid, as for a remake of Super Metroid, I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU!!!!
Hehe boi I love this
More like (Without) Metal Gear Samus ^^
@ShakeITyEA so heartwarming
Sounds like it was supposed to be something out of Metroid Prime.
@toad1114 look up how and install the homebrew channel, music replacement in brawl is actually very simple once you know what your doing, its easier than murder thats for shur xD
It's called "Common Sense".
❤
chuck norris wouldn't dare to fight samus!
same
Yep, which is precisely why I plan to music hack this over the other one in Brawl. =P
@ShakeITyEA Have you played Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga. That's one mean soundtrack right thur.
re make super metriod and zero plz
Metroid=best game music ever ...megaman too xD
Ok tell me I’m not the only one who hears similarities to the big chungus song starting at 0:53 and carol of the bells at 1:38
@kztar621 Yeah Fusion. I got mixed for a moment.
@toad1114 you don't have to kill anyone o.O just unscrub your iso and replace the music with this one and there you have it
@1337SUX sweet this my my favortie song too
I am beowulf music right here
I felt as though he was referring to the whole atmosphere of the game, which I'm assuming he's construing as scary, when it's just extremely alien. I am very likely wrong about this assumption about what he's saying, though.
I liked Lower Norfair from Super Metroid better. Of course, that could be considered a different area.
Norfair is how I think of hell. Actually, Magmoor from MP1 is. But still.
