Multi point connectivity is a big deal for me at this price. Can you suggest an alternative as good as these which have multi point connectivity. I use windows and android, so, a seamless connectivity and switching between both devices is what i want.
Btw, I’ve tried the instant switching between Android and Apple devices and it actually works just as flawlessly as the Samsung phones. Really quickly moves to the connected device without issue.
One thing you could try in future earbuds reviews is to chew a gum while wearing them. I find the buds pro easy to become loose if you're talking or chewing. It didnt fall out of ears, but the noise canceling would suffer after it moves.
@@DSP720 thanks for the info, that's very good to know. This is the only complaint I had with the buds pro. If the buds 2 pro had the same silver/grey color options, I would definitely switch.
Haven't watched the entire vid but I can reassure anyone that's shaky on whether to buy a pair or not, they're really good. Had mine for around a week before release and I've used these things extensively. Sound quality, bass, treble and the audio as a whole is impressive. Battery life is.. could be better but I don't use max volume so I didn't have problems with battery management. It went from 100% to 83% in around 2-3 hours of use on a single bud on low-mid volume. Fit is amazing (For any ear size. All my friends found them super comfy) and it handles long time use really well. Refuses to fall out my ears when playing basketball or working out. Ears do start hurting after a while if you try to sleep/ lay down with them in (like lay on the side with ur earbuds). I personally like the double tap edge volume controls a lot. ANC is solid and so is ambient mode (if we're being picky I'd say Ambient could use some refinement). All in all, imo, it's a no brainer purchase when on sale or discounted. Quality product that doesn't have much to complain about, even when nitpicking. EDIT: I stopped watching and started commenting at 4:15 right before the ad. Still going through the vid and it's looking like I shouldn't have written the comment till after I watched it. I'm pretty much wrote a dialogue of what he's saying..
I think the main reason the double tap earbud edge is still in labs is because during runs, it can accidentally trigger volume changes when you jog/run hard due to the vibration.
FINALLY, I've been waiting for your coverage on the Buds 2 Pro. Thanks for the insights man. Now I'm REALLY looking forward to getting a pair of these earbuds. Keep up the good work
@@MikeOBrienMedia you're very come By the way for the comparisons, it'd be nice to see how these stack up to some of the industry leaders like Sony, senheiser, airpods pro, Jabra, Bose, B&O and even the pixel buds pro!
That's awesome to hear that they stayed in your ears well. I bought the previous generation Pros and loved the sound upgrade but I couldn't get them to stay in for the life of me so I returned them and am still using the earlier version of Buds with the wing tips which stay in my ears well. I'll have to pick up a set of these based on that alone!
Same! After using the Galaxy Buds Pro, I had to go back to the Galaxy Buds+, the Pro's just kept falling out of my ears no matter which ear tips I used
@@iantheone2648 yess I'm soo happy to see that. I've heard the FE song quality is still not at par with the buds pro model. Hopefully they'll launch buds pro 3 with galaxy s24 which has these wingtips too.
Given how deeply Samsung discounts these with various offers, how light and comfortable they are, they are an excellent buy. Not to mention, killer convenient size of the case design. Super pocketable.
Indeed. Did a run with mine last night no issues. I also noticed less of the shifting impact sound with each step which has often been an issue with in ear while running
I also had huge problems with my Buds 2 in terms of fitting. They would fall out all the time.. I bought new ear tips (foam ones) shortly after and now they sit really well. Now I'm more than happy with them :) but still a bummer to rely on 3rd party accessories
@@average-chess-enjoyer Im talking about the normal Buds 2. Just for your information: mine still work fine but I had to buy another pair of third party ear tips because I did a lot of workouts with them and they just "fell apart" lol
I have just bought the Buds 2Pro and completely endorse your findings. I had previously been using the Sony 1000 XM 4s, and had only decided to replace them because the battery life was fading within a couple of hours (this after only a year of use, which was pretty disappointing). I had thought that switching to the Samsung Buds would be a downgrade to be suffered until Sony brought out a replacement for the XM4s. But I was surprised and delighted to find the Buds 2pro are to my ears better than the XM 4s, not only on noise cancelling but even in sound quality. Perhaps when Sony upgrade the XM4s they will be even better but they already have something of a mountain to climb.
Had the galaxy buds pro and now the buds 2 Pro. The buds 2 Pro are definitely smaller and lighter, which makes them more comfortable to wear. From a sound impression, I found them to be better but not massively but enough that it was noticeable. Overall they are worth upgrading if you want to spend the money.
Got my preordered Galaxy Buds2 Pro this evening. Its very good so far 👍🏼The best sound quality experience so far I have heard in a TWS and the fit is so much better than the previous gen that I still own, which were by themselves very good in terms of sound quality. ANC mode along with music is also much better blended /balanced. Track separation is sublime...samsung has nailed it 👌 The ANC is done so well that even the medium sized ear tips are good enough and offer great sound experience. Well played Samsung. 👏
After 3 weeks of usage, I think the I prefer the sound signature on the previous gen Galaxy Buds Pro. Not that much of a difference but the mids and treble on the buds pro is better and overall brilliant. The fit of the Buds2 Pro is way better though. Wish samsung will offer the previous gen sound signature through an EQ setting via OTA.
@@siddhant9277 didn't exactly measure it, but it's ample for me for everyday use...didn't ever run below 50% on the Buds....I normally use it for nor not more than 2 hours continously. The case has around 3 full charges I think. I normally use it only with ANC..I need to charge the case only once or twice a week.
I had been waiting for this review. They do look great in the ear. Way better than the Galaxy Buds Pro. I would really enjoy a comparison between this and the Pixel buds pro, Galaxy Buds Pro and Galaxy buds 2. Thanks for a great review Mike.
Great review. I went from the first galaxy buds to the buds pro 2 just because of how bad the others fit. These fit amazing. It's almost weird how good the fit is
Had my buds2 pro for about 6 months now. Still love them. They say the case isnt waterproof but my cat knocked my case into a cup of water and I was dumping water out of the charging port for 10 minutes. Didnt affect them at all, also, no water got to the buds... which are waterproof 😅 so the case design is water tight also.. at least to some degree
Mike is one of those reviewers who provides a honet opinion unlike others who just read out specs from Manufacturer's website and ask viewers to add opinions in comments section. Thx Mike for the splendid review (as usual) and helping viewers make better judgement calls whether to buy or not.
Great review, Mike! I upgraded to the Buds2 Pro from Buds+. The fit on these is deceptively good. My Buds+ feel tighter, while these feel like they're not there. I can eat with them in-ear without them becoming loose. The sound upgrade is noticeable; even with audiobooks. The battery life is kind of a bummer, but having ANC is very nice. I can be sitting 6 feet from my window A/C without hearing it at all. I have noticed the Voice Detect can be a bit hyper in very quiet environments. Thanks again for your take.
I love the buds plus and regret my buds 2. The buds 2 are always slipping out and the smooth rounded shape causes to many accidental touches. It sounds like the pro 2 doesn't have these issues?
i bought these today and i love them. the bass is awesome and the sound in general. they are really comfertable and easy to forget thath they are in your ear. my only problem with them is how delicate they are to the touch. its easy to affect the volume or pause when you just want to move the ear buds. apart from that they are the best ear buds i have bought. my second fave pair are the JBL wave 100s. very cheap but really good. i paid £19 when they was on sale on honustly best buy for the price. feels bad using them as my spare earphones now i have the buds 2 pro
Just turn off the touch controls. That's what I do because they're so small, it's impossible not to accidentally touch them when putting them on or taking off.
@@_M-_-C_ do you have the 'double tap earbud edge' enabled under labs settings? If you do, you can double tap the back of your left ear to lower and Right to raise volume. I have it enabled. I love these buds, lol!
Got my buds 2 pro with my Fold 4, and it can't really be overstated how well they fit. It's exceptional. I don't know if the noise canceling is as good as the Air Pods Pro or the Sony Noise Canceling Earbuds, but that doesn't really matter for me bc Samsung basically gives them away when you buy a phone.
Agreed. I bought the flip 4 recently and got a guaranteed £250 trade in against my old S10 so long as it worked, free galaxy Pro 2 earbuds, a years free insurance, a £100 voucher to spend on the Samsung site(I put it towards a new microwave) and a year's free Disney plus subscription. Add that lot together and it halved the phone cost practically so me and the missus bought 1 each got all that each and did it on interest free credit with Samsung with £90 down so it worked out just over £29 a month over 24 months and £9 for a sim only talkmobile 50gb data . So £34 a month, try beating that with a crappy 2 year rip off contract at like £60 a month. It adds up to do your homework before you waste your cash
Was eagerly waiting for this review. Didn't expect this to be this good. I'm a buds+ user and never thought about upgrading, untill now. (For me what matters most is the fit. It should never leave my ears, without my permission, in other words)
I got my Buds 2 Pro today and I'm probably returning them. I hate to say it, but they just don't sound as good as my Buds+ and they aren't as comfortable.
The transparency mode has been greatly improved. When it's on, I have great audi spacial awareness while outside in heavy traffic areas. I also keep in transparency when a coworker is talking and they sound very clear and realistic. It even mixes the audio very well like I was carrying an external bluetooth speaker. I get the room or outdoor sound with my audio, which actually widens the sound stage of my audio, aka less inside my head sound. Anyway, that's my experience with these software updated earbuds. What are your experiences with them. 🤔😁
I swear these buds have some kind of white noise masking or I got a defective unit. In a slighlty quiet room with ANC on it sounds like there's a fan going in the distance or a low hiss. Unless the room is really noisy or the music I listen too is really energetic, the white noise is impossible to ignore.
Finally!!! Already ordered them. Expected delivery 7th Sep. Free samsung wireless charger. Price around $220 but they called and said will make an extra $30 disc.
Hi Mike, thank you very much for you honest review. Did you check the lattency? What about watching youtube, netflix, hbo...? Any problems with audio/video synchronization? I am quite sensitive to this issue. Reviewers rarely comment on this. Everybody is checking audio quality, mic quality in silent and noisy enviroment, fit, but lattency is very important for user experience and is very much overlooked...
@@IogenaHello, try to change the codec. Try the inhouse samsung codec (if you have samsung smartphone) or AAC. I have galaxy buds pro 2 and I am satisfied regarding the sound latency. SBC or Apt does not work well for me.
I just got these in the mail today, the $75 trade in rebate for my old Galaxy Buds plus helped convince me to pull the trigger on buying these. I agree with this video, they are really nice. Comfortable, but feel secure in my ears, not gonna fall out. I'll need to do some more A/B testing, but my first listening impressions is that the sound quality of these aren't quite as good as my Beats Fit Pro. That being said, I don't have a Samsung phone so I can't take advantage of their high res codec. The Beats Fit Pro are also rather uncomfortable to wear because of the wing tips putting pressure on the outer portion of my ears. Anyway those are my first impressions.
I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on the trade in deal for my Buds +. I absolutely luv the + and nobody has beaten the battery life and overall features. But the $75 trade in is basically what I paid for the + which brings the price down to basically $90 which seems like a steal. Are you still happy with your trade in? How's the battery?
My experience with both of galaxy buds pro and buds2 pro is new buds2 pro stay in my ear comfortably than buds pro, definitely an A+ upgrade, the sound quality is also improve but even the sound quality can outperformed the airpods pro... on the new buds2 pro, i find some interesting feature... when im at ambient mode in a windy situation the earphone picup the loud sound of the wind but it quickly reduce the windy sound so i guess the buds2 pro can adjust it self according to your environment and it did work everytime... one very solid earbuds for me 👍🏻
i forgot these ear buds were in my pants' pockets and only found out when i saw them swimming around the water as i was doing laundry (thought they were inside the case but forgot that i placed them in my pockets when i had to talk to somebody earlier) and they're still working perfectly 😭
I was interested to hear you say that the Pro 2s worked during a 4 mile run. That's a big improvement on the original Pro's which constantly cut out if walking more than 100 yards, though at least they worked when stationery.
The Bass on the Buds2 Pro is insane for Galaxy Buds, finally Samsung satisfies my bass needs, the only problem of the EQ is that it isn't manual, some people like the V-shape, I boost the mids in all my headphones, that is my only complain, not a full customizable EQ, the comfort is the best I have ever experienced, the texture on the buds is gentle on my concha, Samsung nailed it.
Hello mike! Thanks for the great review. Just a note, with other reviewers doing a mic test outdoors, almost all the background noise is completely blocked out but I noticed in yours you could really hear the street and the wind. That could be because the option to hear your voice while you're talking on the phone is on. That might turn on the mics from the outside and then it lets in more noise from the mics? Again in other reviews I have seen there is virtually no noise at all whether in a coffee shop or noisy street when testing the mics for the Galaxy Bud Pro 2.
@@elhouts oh? ye definitely. i mean i eat pizza that costs 13 eur a piece... this pair of earphones im using for over 2 years, in an environment with a lot of grime (at work) they still do 6-7 hours of continuous play and they do not sound bad at all. you cant get a wired pair too much cheaper than 85 that sound decent. and for me the real useful thing is the controls. first of all, volume control without having to remap anything else (edge touch) then the intuitive feedback (if you double click itll beep twice and thats it, ambient mode is a jingle, 300 dollar headphones have to say it out loud and extra slow. each function has a beep that makes intuitive sense and thats just... you know.small things that make you happy) im thinking of buying the newer pro, altho it doesnt give longer battery life, and shorter if you use extra functions... oh another thing, pretty sure these use a standard cell lithium battery, easy to replace
Have a pair of Buds+ and also a pair of Buds pro... Still use the Buds+ as I believe the sound quality is a lot better plus they stay in the ear comfortably rather than falling out like the pros.
I have a Surface pro and my buds pro switch from that to my s22 ultra pretty easily. It may not be seamless, but all I have to do is open the buds pro app on either platfrom and the buds will connect to that device pretty instantly.
Could never get comfortable with any earbuds after Buds Live. They're the closest thing to open ear almost bone conduction earphones cause they allow so much natural ambient sound which is perfect in working environment with spatial awareness and they have a very good sound quality. I just don't like the air tight seal of regular earbuds even without ANC
Would love to see a comparison between the buds and airpod pros. I currently use the airpods on my s22 ultra due to the microphone quality on calls and the magically ANC. Would love to see how they compare
Great review! Do they have air passthrough like the airpods pro? I.e., the hole in them that makes them more comfortable because they're not creating a vacuum seal?
Got mine for about a week. My ears have weird shape no ear bud seems to fit well but buds 2 pro fits ok! (Have to use different ear tip size for each ears) Incredible ANC and sound quality! Im so happy I waited for this instead of going for Buds pro! Very happy users here
Went from buds plus to buds 2 pro. WOW, what a improvement. Lighter , more comfortable, Night and Day difference in sound quality. ANC works excellent! Very Happy with my purchase. Traded in buds+ for 75.00, 👍
@@garysuper1582 could you please test that and let me know? Like sit beside someone and in a quiet room and see at which volume he will start hearing the music. Thanks.
This was a great review! It would be great if you could do a comparison between all the galaxy buds! And please say if they have that extra volume for the ambient mode like the buds+ do!
You don't have to tap the edge of the buds to change volume, tap your earlobe to prevent accidental touch controls. As a bonus you can double facepalm to increase and decrease volume at the same time.
Just got mine after having been a fan of the Galaxy Buds Pro Loving them so far Have to say though that your example of how to trigger the Labs Edge Double-Tap is great. I was struggling to find a consistent method I did switch to Sony's WF-1000XM4 for a bit though but the fragile foam ear tips and overall poor water resistance made them fail within a year of the purchase
I had bad luck with those Sony's WF1000XM4's twice in a row. The first pair I got had the right earbud randomly cutting out, and the second pair (after getting a replacement through warranty) had a weird, resonance sound in the right bud, making a weird tinny/springy noise. It really sucks because the sound quality on those Sony's was amazing. I am just amazed at how bad their quality control is, I expected higher from Sony. I now ordered the Buds2 Pro because I had the Buds Live and Buds2 before and they worked perfectly fine. I just wanted better sound quality.
Hi mike, I'd like to see you compare them to the galaxy buds pro, to see if people that already have the pro should upgrade or if people that have neither should buy the buds 2 pro or save a little bit of money and go for the buds pro, also to see how Samsung improved their top earbuds model.
I traded my galaxy buds plus for the galaxy buds pro 2 and it's a big difference. The sound is much much better. I don't care for the battery life and they don't stay in like the buds plus do. But these would be my all time favorite if they kept the wing tip and improve battery life.
They do look very sleek. I ended up getting the Pixel Buds Pro because the previous Samsung buds fit so poorly that I didn't wait on these. Glad to hear they've been working on that issue
I just bought the buds 2 pro today. At first they didn't fit well, but it's all about how you put them in - something they don't mention. After a quick adjustment, they fit perfectly.
What would you say? Galaxy Buds 2 pro or sony wf-1000xm4. I have the galaxy buds pro but the anc is not good enough and the fit is terrible. In my country the Sony are cheaper as well haha. What should I get? :)
Buds2 Pro. The fit on the Sony XM4 is terrible, they're so big and chunky and dont have vents like the Buds2 pro have. The comfort on the Buds2Pro is on another level, cant compare.
I sold by Buds Pro due to the bad fit and i got Buds 2. They work great for me but the sound is noticeably worse than the Buds Pro. Is the fit so much improved comparing to the pros? And also i guess the sound also?
just got these from a closeout for 80€, very excited since my previous wireless earbuds are the Sony WF-1000X that were in urgent need of an upgrade. Thrilled!
I would love to see these compared to the linkbuds s, mainly bc of the fit. i wanna know which one feels more comfortable in the ear and which one has superior fit. Btw, great vid, as always! keep up the fantastic work!
For whatever it's worth, I have both and the Buds 2 Pro fit more comfortably in my ears and they are also more secure. The LinkBuds S are also extremely comfortable and their fit is still pretty secure, but with very violent movements they become progressively dislodged. You do have to work for it, though. The LinkBuds S also have a much more flexible EQ, so if you are very particular about your sound, that's a significant pro. That said, the default EQ on the Buds 2 Pro is calibrated very closely to the Harman Target (which means they have a really good balance of clarity, bass, separation and accurate sound) so it will sound great to most people out of the box. The LinkBuds S can also stick very closely to the target with some EQ adjustments, but you can also deviate from it in exactly the way you want thanks to its granular adjusments. The Galaxies only have a few presets to work with (none of which are great beyond the default). With either pair of earbuds, EQ is built into the device, adjustments are saved into the buds and apply when connected to any audio device, and do not add any lag or distortion. So you can configure them on your phone and keep the adjustments for any other device (PC, TV...) Worth mentioning that, if you enable double tapping the earphone edge in Samsung Labs, you can have a fully featured set of controls. On the LinkBuds S, you can only choose two out of three: Playback control, volume control, ANC control. This is what bothers me the most about the LinkBuds S even though I actually prefer their sound. Also worth mentioning is that the Buds 2 Pro have a significantly longer Bluetooth range. I have intermittent issues with the LinkBuds S when connecting to my TV about 2 meters away. Finally, I cannot tell the difference between AAC and LDAC (don't have a phone that supports SBC). AAC sounds great and it sounds identical across all of my devices: Windows PC, Android phone, Smart TV...
I had a really cheap pair of ear buds, and while I was vacuuming my pool, one of them fell onto the pool. I took it out, let it dry, and it still worked! I did eventually lose them but it amazed me how well these cheap buds worked. I hope the galaxy buds pro 2 work as well. Cause I am clumsy.
Thanks for your detailed video. I like time however they don't stay in my ears good I feel like they're going to drop out. I've changed the tips to another size and experiencing the same thing. Do you recommend any other tips I can buy for better fit?
Great review Mike. The lack of multipoint bluetooth connection is a dealbreaker for me. I use an S21 Ultra and a Surface Pro 8 and was hoping it could do multipoint. Alas outta luck and ordered Jabra Elite 7 Pro instead.
Everything I'm thinking about buying a new pair of earbuds, I always check your channel. I've been waiting for this video since they were announced!! Keep up the great work man EDIT: Wow, I didn't realize how common this comment would be 😅
Love to see how they compare to my AirPod Pros. Wasn’t a huge fan of the first set of Buds but haven’t tried since! Waiting on mine now after my AirPods died.
I'd be really interested to see the Buds2 Pro compared to the Sony Linkbuds S. The small form factor of each defitinely appeals to me but I'm curious how the two compare sound-wise.
Mike thanks for the reviews. I've been able to onboard with my buds2pro easily from your tips. Is there a feature here that allows the people i'm talking to on the phobe to cancel the noise they hear from my background? Sister called today while i was at a coffee shop (which actuallybdidn't have good venue acoustics), and she said it sounded like i was beside a dentist doing prophylaxis! Screeching sounds and a lot of noise. Other than that, i'm impressed with the buds2pro. Thanks!😮
I love my Gallery Bud2 Pro earbuds. I got them as a pre-order gift when I purchased my S23 Ultra Feb 2023. The only thing that disappoints me is the battery life. I only get 3 hours of use, and that hasn't degraded since I first started using them. I guess I could use one earbud until it runs out of battery, then switch to the other one, but that means I miss out on some features.
Very good review, just missed one element for me which unfortunately was the what I clicked on the video for. Can you use either bud independently or are these the usual type where you have to use the right bud if you only want one in?
Hi Mike - great review. Interested to know how these ear buds cancel background noise via the mic i.e. voice isolation? The audio quality from when you were on a busy street was quite poor compared to Apple Airpods Pro 2 which mostly cancel out any background noise when you're speaking.
Hey Mike loved the review. I subscribed along time ago, because, I like your reviews, there simple and honest. Since I know you also have problems with in ear headphones, like the fit (one falling out and readjusting) I'm actually happy to hear that the fit you because I also have a similar problem, I think these might fit me well. I currently have the Buds 2 and I'm happy with them, but like I said 1 side tends to fall out. So I might get these. I kinda disagree with you about the batterie , I find it good and even with Buds pro they were enough. I mean the airpods pro only have like 4 hrs. My question that I think you didn't answer , would you say there better then the airpods pro?
Great review, I love these and sold my Buds Pro cause of the fit (tho they do have better base), but much prefer the better and lighter fit. -Also get a manicure, them fingers throw me off sometimes
I have a samsung phone and I went with the sennheiser true wireless 3 instead of these ones, I think I made the right choice as I care about sound quality the most
I love my Bose speakers. However, they have made some weird choices with the Bose QC II, which are deal breakers, particularly not being able to use them on more than one device.
Good video on these ear buds. For me, the G Buds+ works, with the Extra High Ambient Noise Feature I can use them as a Hearing Aid. Does the G Buds2 Pro have that Feature???

Does it leak your music outside of the buds? Bec. Some people say other people can hear your music when in public.
I think the main reason the double tap earbud edge is still in labs is because during runs, it can accidentally trigger volume changes when you jog/run hard due to the vibration.
I have the same experience when I activate the earbud edge.
ive never had that happen with my galaxy buds+ tho
I've had it activates because my helmet strap was flailing around, hitting my face when I'm riding my bike lmao.

I agree, the fit is great this time around! I'm really happy they stay in while running because it was my only gripe about the original Pro's.
Oooo, thanks for commenting this. I was getting close to selling mine. What ones did you get?
@@jasssedine thanks so much! I'll have to check it out, all honesty I definitely wouldn't mind it compared to falling out
lowkey I like accessorizing stuff with third party items. makes them feel special and more tailored to me
do you mean the buds 2 pro or just the buds 2? just making sure
@@average-chess-enjoyer Im talking about the normal Buds 2. Just for your information: mine still work fine but I had to buy another pair of third party ear tips because I did a lot of workouts with them and they just "fell apart" lol
An in depth comparison between Buds2 pro, MTW 3 and WF 1000xm4 would be really helpful.
Iam very much on the fence about which pair of buds, the Sony or the Samsungs', to purchase.
But your info. helped a bunch- thanks.

@@leewainwright3526 the buds2 pro? I have them and they are good
Great to hear cause I'm in the same boat.
In terms of battery they charge really fast so that balances out. Just ordered mine last night to go with my Fold 4. Good info as always. 👍🏾

I had been waiting for this review. They do look great in the ear. Way better than the Galaxy Buds Pro. I would really enjoy a comparison between this and the Pixel buds pro, Galaxy Buds Pro and Galaxy buds 2. Thanks for a great review Mike.
Enjoy!

What's the battery life with and without anc?
I agree! Honestly it was hard for me to make the switch, I love my buds+ but I had a broken microphone
I love the buds plus and regret my buds 2. The buds 2 are always slipping out and the smooth rounded shape causes to many accidental touches. It sounds like the pro 2 doesn't have these issues?
"deceptively" good he says. Gotta love the English language.
Sex machines
i bought these today and i love them. the bass is awesome and the sound in general. they are really comfertable and easy to forget thath they are in your ear. my only problem with them is how delicate they are to the touch. its easy to affect the volume or pause when you just want to move the ear buds. apart from that they are the best ear buds i have bought. my second fave pair are the JBL wave 100s. very cheap but really good. i paid £19 when they was on sale on honustly best buy for the price. feels bad using them as my spare earphones now i have the buds 2 pro
Just turn off the touch controls. That's what I do because they're so small, it's impossible not to accidentally touch them when putting them on or taking off.
@@jessa.3857 i have now. Still turns the volume up or down when i scratch my head though haha. Still love them though. Best earbuds ive had
@@_M-_-C_ do you have the 'double tap earbud edge' enabled under labs settings? If you do, you can double tap the back of your left ear to lower and Right to raise volume. I have it enabled. I love these buds, lol!
@@jessa.3857 yeah i do mate. Oh they are awesome and soo easy to use. I use them on a pc as well as my phone and switching between them is so simple.
That's crazy cool! I've never seen those sales and I just got an s22 ultra. Would've been nice to get the buds lol
@@Mikeyp1054 you could sell your s10 for 400£ easly

Glad to hear they fit better in people's ears because I have the first ones and that's my biggest problem. Getting the new ones on Wednesday
Was eagerly waiting for this review. Didn't expect this to be this good. I'm a buds+ user and never thought about upgrading, untill now. (For me what matters most is the fit. It should never leave my ears, without my permission, in other words)
Also buds+ user since release and cant imagine using earbuds without some kind of wingtip. What makes u think these will be as secure?
@solidarity. I don't think this would be as secure as buds+. It's just that I feel this to be secure enough.
Same here the wing tip is holding me back
same here using buds+ rn and its fine still but this video is convincing me to upgrade sooo bad
Great review Mike - I'm a Mac man, would love to hear how these match up against Beats Fit Pro (not Airpods Pro, their audio isn't good enough)
Yes!!!
True. Ive been having bad latency with this buds. The delay is so bad playing games with it is so hard and confusing.
@@IogenaHello, try to change the codec. Try the inhouse samsung codec (if you have samsung smartphone) or AAC. I have galaxy buds pro 2 and I am satisfied regarding the sound latency. SBC or Apt does not work well for me.
Its the only buds i ever used the fit me so well and DONT FALLOUT WHILE WORKING OUT THATS HUGE.
Double tapping the edge of the earbuds for sound is one feature that I like about my Buds Pro.
What's the battery life with and without anc?
Agreed, on this video and his one comparing mics, it sounds like every Samsung buds has zero noise cancelling outside, they all sound the same.
been using the buds plus for yeeeears. theyve been great. im glad the new model kept the edge-touch volume control.
@@elhouts oh? ye definitely. i mean i eat pizza that costs 13 eur a piece... this pair of earphones im using for over 2 years, in an environment with a lot of grime (at work) they still do 6-7 hours of continuous play and they do not sound bad at all. you cant get a wired pair too much cheaper than 85 that sound decent. and for me the real useful thing is the controls. first of all, volume control without having to remap anything else (edge touch) then the intuitive feedback (if you double click itll beep twice and thats it, ambient mode is a jingle, 300 dollar headphones have to say it out loud and extra slow. each function has a beep that makes intuitive sense and thats just... you know.small things that make you happy)
im thinking of buying the newer pro, altho it doesnt give longer battery life, and shorter if you use extra functions...
oh another thing, pretty sure these use a standard cell lithium battery, easy to replace
I totally agree. I am going to try these... but I am not sure I will be able to keep them if they do not keep up with the buds live.
I had those and really liked them but they weren't really what i needed.
Would love to see a comparison between the buds and airpod pros. I currently use the airpods on my s22 ultra due to the microphone quality on calls and the magically ANC. Would love to see how they compare
Great review! Do they have air passthrough like the airpods pro? I.e., the hole in them that makes them more comfortable because they're not creating a vacuum seal?
agree that the wings for the galaxy plus was the best feature fit wise. Glad you covered the fit for these new ones.
Got mine for about a week. My ears have weird shape no ear bud seems to fit well but buds 2 pro fits ok! (Have to use different ear tip size for each ears)

Great review Mike... You're brother...I think? Has a great channel as well. My set of these arrive today.
Yep! Nate and I are always talking about YT
You don't have to tap the edge of the buds to change volume, tap your earlobe to prevent accidental touch controls. As a bonus you can double facepalm to increase and decrease volume at the same time.
Would be cool if that paused the music instead, so if you have a ski helmet you could still pause and play
Just got mine after having been a fan of the Galaxy Buds Pro
Loving them so far
Have to say though that your example of how to trigger the Labs Edge Double-Tap is great. I was struggling to find a consistent method
I did switch to Sony's WF-1000XM4 for a bit though but the fragile foam ear tips and overall poor water resistance made them fail within a year of the purchase

Got one to pair with my S10! Absolutely immersive experience overall
I traded my galaxy buds plus for the galaxy buds pro 2 and it's a big difference. The sound is much much better. I don't care for the battery life and they don't stay in like the buds plus do. But these would be my all time favorite if they kept the wing tip and improve battery life.
Please test them with the Buds pro, Sony XM 4 and the pixels you suggested. I would say that those were the top 3 before these.
Thank you Sir! Been waiting for this. great info.
What would you say? Galaxy Buds 2 pro or sony wf-1000xm4. I have the galaxy buds pro but the anc is not good enough and the fit is terrible. In my country the Sony are cheaper as well haha. What should I get? :)
Sony :)
Buds2 Pro. The fit on the Sony XM4 is terrible, they're so big and chunky and dont have vents like the Buds2 pro have. The comfort on the Buds2Pro is on another level, cant compare.
Nice video bro, Love from Brasil ❣️
I sold by Buds Pro due to the bad fit and i got Buds 2. They work great for me but the sound is noticeably worse than the Buds Pro.
Is the fit so much improved comparing to the pros? And also i guess the sound also?
I have personally owned the buds 2 and I just got my buds 2 pros, and from my experience they are so much more secure and breathable than the buds 2
just got these from a closeout for 80€, very excited since my previous wireless earbuds are the Sony WF-1000X that were in urgent need of an upgrade.
So you can configure them on your phone and keep the adjustments for any other device (PC, TV...)
Worth mentioning that, if you enable double tapping the earphone edge in Samsung Labs, you can have a fully featured set of controls.
Thank you very much Mike for posting this review 🙏 👍
I had a really cheap pair of ear buds, and while I was vacuuming my pool, one of them fell onto the pool. I took it out, let it dry, and it still worked! I did eventually lose them but it amazed me how well these cheap buds worked. I hope the galaxy buds pro 2 work as well. Cause I am clumsy.

@@MikeOBrienMedia Yes, 360 is crazy. I've got buds in a bundle with galaxy watch 5 and synced all in samsung wearables.
Mike thanks for the reviews. I've been able to onboard with my buds2pro easily from your tips. Sister called today while i was at a coffee shop (which actuallybdidn't have good venue acoustics), and she said it sounded like i was beside a dentist doing prophylaxis! Screeching sounds and a lot of noise.

He mentioned about running, so do they stay in your ear during a jog?
yes! I flipped head over heels off of my skateboard and they stayed firmly in my head. they badically never need to be pushed in or adjusted

Thank you for this video.

Great earbuds, what app do I need to down load to get the best usage?
Is it worth upgrading from old Buds Pro to this?
Hey mic, do you prefer these over the airpods 3 and why?
I have a samsung phone and I went with the sennheiser true wireless 3 instead of these ones, I think I made the right choice as I care about sound quality the most
I love my Bose speakers. However, they have made some weird choices with the Bose QC II, which are deal breakers, particularly not being able to use them on more than one device.
My ears are allergic to something
Good video on these ear buds. For me, the G Buds+ works, with the Extra High Ambient Noise Feature I can use them as a Hearing Aid. Does the G Buds2 Pro have that Feature???
