Easily my favorite version of this track for Summer’s guitar work, that said though, I feel that Morris’s drumming just doesn’t come through as strong on this recording as it does on others. I’m of the opinion that the best version recorded of Transmission was the live version they recorded on Something Else. Just my opinion though.
John Peel was an English Radio Disc Jockey. He also had his own show which would every band he could find. From Folk to Ska to Heavy Metal he had all of it making bands famous
This is by far my favorite version of this song. Powerful.
I tend to agree
This is the best version of Transmission it scratches my ears the best way
Those drums! fuck. im gonna make this my jam this night i think. Peel sessions, they always rock
JOY DIVISION was created an another dimension of british music
Für mich immernoch die bedeutenste und großartigste Band aller Zeiten !!!
So eine Band wie Joy Division gibt es nicht noch einmal....so Schade!!!
Ian so commanding with those ending vocals. Chills
MAN I’VE LISTENED TO 20+ VERSIONS OF TRANSMISSION ON THIS PLATFORM TO FIND EXACTLY THIS ONE!!! TY TY TY❤❤❤
My favorite rendition of this moving song.
Simply brilliant.
LONG LIVE JOY DIVISION
I found this version better than the other.
Perfect !
Left channel you can hear Ian playing guitar dope
I think its an overdub
a very nice version

YES!!!!
Transcendental
WO bleiben die ROTEN HERZEN?❤
Perfect blend & balance of Punk & New Wave. Only regret is the track's too short.
I've heard it on Radio Disney AM 1110.
Hit the bass bass bass
Best version of the best JD song...Peel Sessions are much better than the Martin Hannet versions.
Or most of the demo sessions, except for the Closer songs - Closer sounds perfect
The "(Play) LOUIE LOUIE!" sentiment exactly
@@tomkraft7055 god I love that version of Sister Ray
I NEED TO HEAR THEIR VERSION OF LOUIE LOUIE SOMEHOW
There has to be a recording somewhere
DAAAAAAAAAANCE

ian’s voice is great on this version as well, the something else performances of this and she’s lost control are fuckin crazy trough they’re so good
The Morris's drumming work in the version of Something Else is amazing.
yeah morris couldve sped it up a bit i'd say.
Is the palm muted guitar part played by Ian? Or is the palm muted part Sumner and the chords Ian?
Ian is playing the chords
I think its an overdub
@@sherzodakhmedov6343this is the only recording of them playing guitar together
Whats wrong with that "one" person?
hey i hear two guitars!
Only track Ian and Bernard r recorded playing guitar together
whaaat?
Fuck! I wish I could've seen thenlm live in person.
I reckon seeing Peter Hook live, he puts on a great show! Really keeping JD alive.
@@JacobPryorTV Long live Hooky!
I did, twice ;) Yes, I know, 9 years have passed
Knocks Hannett's over-produced single into a cocked hat.
tricorn club Hannett was the worst thing to happen to joy division imo
T K lmao u guys are nuts

Never heard this version before. Who is John Peel? Is he related to Emma Peel?
