I remember when Ivar was born! COVID was a huge concern, and you guys did the birth at home. It has been a joy watching the little boy grow and thrive.

Delightful to see Ivar on another Birthday. Happy Birthday, Ivar! And YAY, no shampoo! Me too for about 8 months, and love it. Partly did it to not buy plastic. Also making own yogurt from raw whole milk, for health and no plastic. So inspiring to watch you three in all your endeavors!

Another trip around the Sun for your lovely son, Ivar. I had the same trouble with the first couple of heavy snowfalls coming before the ground was frozen. A big mess plowing the driveway with a lot of top soil and gravel being bladed along with the snow. Wah 😭

I’m an elderly woman in US. I started watching your channel well before Evor (sp?) was born, I guess nearly five years now. I really enjoy keeping up with your lives and the videos sometimes are just stunningly beautiful.
I am wondering if you will home-school Evor, as so many do in the US, or if there is a school in your nearby village? He is such a bright, curious little boy, I’m sure he will thrive however you choose to do it. He will be a lifelong learner just like his parents!
Thank you! We will bring up the subject of education sometime in the future.
Home-schooling is not an option here. School is tax-financed and compulsory from the age of 6 and ten years on. Parents choose a school for their child, but in sparsely populated areas there are of course fewer schools to choose from.

We buy a lot of meat from a local farm that are Krav certified and the quality of the minced meat is just outstanding. The price is higher than in the local ICA but the taste, structure and the total quality feeling is much better and the best is that what we pay for the meat goes to the farmer that put all the work into the great product. We have our own hens so eggs are so local they can bee from totally free range hens and we grow our own potatoes and have a nicely sized poly tunnel for tomatoes, cucumbers and more. We live just outside Stockholm in the countryside and it is a blessing to be able to grow food and to buy locally fresh and high quality food. Just love to see all your progress at Tallåsbuan.

The hair rinse sounds interesting :). Another vlog I follow (Fairyland Cottage), she uses chickpea flour and water to wash her hair and I think she rinses with aloe vera. If your interested you can google washing hair with chickpea flour and her link comes up. Happy Birthday to Ivar! My grandsons love Lego, too! Today is Easter and we also have had rain and snow in South Dakots, USA. Just put the chickens into the new tractor at night, and don't let them have access to the old coop. My grandkids love to see photos and videos of themselves, too. ❤

It’s been such a joy watching Ivar grow up! Birthday Blessings!!!
My son showed us he could follow a Lego assembly model at four. Even the small parts ones. It was wonderful to watch him sit for hours entranced by the instructions. Then afterward he would take things apart and make them in all new ways.
It is helpful when snow comes first, spring seems to come sooner😊

I think Mathias should massages Tova’s hair everyday…she deserves it😊..Happy Birthday to Ivar🎉 I am so glad Ivar wanted hamburgers for his birthday, truly an American vibe😊 Tova, if you can find in Sweden, I have gone to planting Zinnias( flowers) for spring / summer blooms…they take care of themselves, come in many varieties, attract butterflies, no sweet swell though😢, but pretty to look out and bring into the house in a vase..just something I spotted in this video, you have “ hanging” space at the front windows if you wanted to start early tomato plants or something? Thanks for sharing❤

I use special soap to clean my hear but I'm realy thankful for your idea to try it with rosmarin and calendula and perhaps other herbs fom the garden. I'm doing my own deodorant with natron, starch, water and orange oil. This works very well. Happy birthday lovely Ivar.

Tova...for many years I have been using the following flowers as mosquito repellants: Tagetes, Ageratum Mexicanum and Plectranthus coleoides. I put the latter one in two hanging baskets in front of a window, as it is bushy and approx. 1.5 m long (if you rub the leaves, it has a soapy smell). Since they are in a very sunny place, they even form a pleasant shade. They successfully keep mosquitoes away and are even decorative. That's my experience, but you can use many other varieties that you're probably already familiar with. By the way here in South-Hungary we have +27C today (too early) with strong sunshine.

Our traditional easter meal is green sauce. All family together collect the first edible greens wild or from the garden like nettles, wild garlic, ...cut it small and mix it with dairy products like sour cream and joghurt and soft cheese and many boiled (easter) eggs. Potatoes go with it. Tastes very good, ingredients changes every year and the family celebrates the spring coming back.

In the east of the Netherlands it was yesterday 14 degrees and sunny, a real spring feeling. At Easter we don't have a traditional dinner meal but it's traditional to eat a breakfast with eggs etc ... and for the children it's traditional to search for chocolate eggs which are hidden by the adults. I loved Lego when our children were small, got to build it so our kids could play with it. Fourty years later it may still be around . Now to find it. Another great video, thanks.

Happy birthday sweet Ivar!!! He just gets more handsome every year!! Good to see you all! Regenerative farming! YES!! Heathy and happy livestock. Good for the land. The way it should be. Hamburger from regenerative raised cattle is so delicious! No comparison to store bought. Makes you wonder what they're actually selling?!?! I make cold processed shampoo bars at home with grass fed (regenerative farmed!) beef tallow, coconut & olive oil and essential oils of lavender, rosemary & frankincense. All organic. I do use lye for saponification. It's very clarifying without being drying or greasy. If you'd ever like to try it, I'll send you some. I make our hand/body soap the same way. Very easy to make. Found the recipe on YT.

Yay to no shampoo! In 2013 I was dx with breast cancer. I have not bought any cosmetics, soaps etc since and make all my own with natural ingredients.
I find the magazine; Willow and Sage is wonderful as it’s full of great recipes and resources. I also am fortunate to have a large Amish community in my area and they sell some amazing books on holistic living/making.
Some other good plants to reply mosquito is lemon grass, mums, rosemary and geraniums. I’ve made my own repellent from them.
