Hey Horse Lovers! It’s time for a Lumiere Update. He has now been at the farm for 7 months, can’t wait to show you his progress. -Shae 🖤🐴⭐️ Lipsticks, Bridles, & More: thespiritedhorseboutique.com/
You have done really well with him. I can really notice his improvement. Hard to tell on phone but looks like brow band needs to be a bit bigger on bit less bridle. I’m sure Kyle could whip up a system for you to water down your arena, he seems handy. Congratulations on Lumiere’s progress, I look forward to seeing him continue on with your tutelage.
He not only looks better in his movements, but he looks better and healthier overall! How handsome can one horse get? And the crazy thing is, he will get even better looking as he develops!
In this fast paced world where people want everything now, it is wonderful to see that you don't expect these beautiful horses to learn and perform what is expected, instantly. It's nice to see that you realize it will take time maybe months and even several years to achieve the milestones of the potential of Lumiere.. It was a joy to see him today!!
After the last update about Belle, my poor heart thought something bad had now happened to sweet Lumi. But nope! Yay! Edit: I left this comment only a few minutes ago. How do I already have this many likes?! Thanks! Edit 2: Yo! Seriously! 😄 Edit 3: First comment of mine to get this many!!!!!!!!!! Disclaimer: I am NOT trying to brag, I'm just excited. (Can we get to 1K?)
@@ATLAS-slay-slay-slay hew! I'm glad I'm not alone. It's like, if something happens to a human TH-camr, my anxiety stays low. Right now alot of us are mourning the passing of the Mal/Husky mix Sherpa. Earlier this year Phil also passed.(Life with Malamutes) it's been a rough year. But yeah we're on our toes.
Lumiere really lives up to his Destrier title! With that beautiful, strong canter you are developing together and his powerful yet elegant appearance, I don’t have to try hard to picture him bravely carrying a fully armoured knight into a medieval battle scene.
Yeah despite the disappointment of how Lumi's sale was handled, it is responsible to not try to stir up drama online with the previous owner. By keeping it vague, it just lets us viewers know to be aware and cautious even when purchusing through private sale. Plus he's still an incredible horse, maybe just a different one than you thought you were getting at first. But Shea you are the best at always meeting the animals where they are at. 💕
Lumiere is noticeably smoother and more fluid in his movements. When you first rode him on video he looked "clunky". It's very noticeable. He's really coming along amazingly.
That boy has figured out - no need to flinch! He is living at a Horse Sugar Momma’s farm! I mean that with all due respect! Horses are lucky to be at FSE!
TOTALLY TRUE! I have to say I should not have read your comment while drinking water(or anything else)! That was sooo funny. Love it! He needs a ‘headband’ that says “My name is Lumiere and I live at a Horse Sugar Mamma’s Farm! Absolutely delightful!
It is so difficult sometimes in the horse world (and the dog world) to get truly accurate information about a possible purchase. Not always, but it is something that everyone should keep in mind especially those who are newbies in horse purchase world. When we bought our first horse, for my young daughter, he was already loaded up when we arrived and we found out not long afterwards that he was a terrible loader and never got really comfortable with it despite many hours of patient, non-punitive training and we eventually had to move him on so that she could show. We also found out that he had been very aggressive towards riders, but he was actually always an angel with our daughter, kind of a perfect first horse, although he bucked off her best friend when she tried him. I think there had been a lot of abuse and he was an appy and they have long memories. Other interactions we had when buying horses was much more positive and rewarding, and we did buy another appy, so it is just something to be aware of. It is wonderful that he ended up with Shae who treats all of her animals with love and respect and patience - he really lucked out there. Such a lovely horse. Thank you for sharing his progress with us.
I agree what ever happened to giving people all the information about an animal so they can make an educated decision. Isn’t that what we all want. To be able to know what we r getting into. It looks better on the seller too. You know the good old GOLDEN RULE ❤
So glad Lumi found a safe place with you. Beautiful horse, wonderful trainer. Love seeing him loved and confident. Thank you for sharing all the horses with us.
He looks so pretty when he was in front of the barn with the pink petunias! It’d be so cool to see flowers woven into his mane and tail for like a photo shoot (cause he’s just so Disney dreamy!)
I love the details you are sharing, Shae, because it's so easy to underestimate a horses sensitivities. He's just stunning to watch, and you are a superb equestrian. So special, thank you, Shae and Lumiere!
I just LOVE ❤️ all things Lumiere!!! I could just kiss his face and brush his hair all day!! lol 😂 I love his size, his color, his hair, the whole Lumi package!!! 🥰 Regardless of his previous owners lack of honesty he is definitely in the right place!!! He is so lucky to be at FSE and you guys are so lucky to have him!! ❤🙏🏻👍🏻🐴
What an amazing transformation in just 7 short months! Shae, you are the trainer all should aspire to. Thank you for all you do for those lovely horses, and sharing with us all. 🐎
I trained race horses for 15 years, and the one thing-all the best trainers told me was to make the horse WANT to do what you want to get the best results. I love that you always use positive reinforcement and all of your horses willingly come💜💜💜 up to you no matter where you are.
If you think about it, his first 7 years he thought his job was going to be (well you know). So it kind of makes sense he is more whoa than go. Now he is learning a new job so it’s going to take a minute. Actually impressed by how well he is doing.
Kyle was Awesome for this!!! “Are You Ready For This?!?” And his SMILE Again!!! You’ve got yourself a Keeper there Shae 😊 So happy for you both. 😊 YAY!!!
Lumi looks so much smoother in his trot since you've been working with him - not that I'm an expert. He is such a beauty and I love how he responds to your praise. Your black outfit in your clothing line is so sophisticated looking and beautiful on you. 👍💖
Magnificent. That’s Lumi. And paired with the beautiful music makes my heart swell. I don’t think I have ever fallen so in love with a horse I have never met.
Pleased the training is going well and he is doing a bit better with the herd. With you Shae, he will undoubtedly find his way to being a well rounded and respectful horse.
Oh. My. The improvement in his muscle structure is amazing! Comparing him in the video the day you purchased him to now shows it. CONGRATS to you and Lumi on the great progress! P.S. Loved your selection of wearing all black ⚫️ Nicely matches his truly beautiful mane and tail 🐴
It is always great to l learn about Lumiere’s progress. I learn so much about Shae’s training techniques when she takes time to highlight one of her younger horse, newer horse into the FSE Stable, and a horse learning specific skills for basic gaits, leads, hoof placements, pole work, low jumping. All these training tips, riding tips, herd tips. I m I so grateful to learn so much from such a passionate, nurturing, loving philosophy! Thanks for all your sharing, teaching, and advise, Shae. You and Kyle are FSE Farm and it’s mission. Everything you are producing, creating and developing is a wonderful journey!! 💗💗🐎💗💗
I appreciate how you work on the ground, and work up slowly. I could see the virtue of the pole work. I like when my horse is careful with where her feet land. He is responsive to you voice commands, and every horse deserves to learn bitless.
He knows he can trust you to be consistent. He knows what to expect and that you listen to him. And that you're fair. He is so lucky to be your boy. All your horses are.
You’ve made so much progress with the gorgeous Lumi-especially his transitions, particularly into canter. I can understand why you’re breathless 😂 Lumi is a lot of horse and he obviously needs some encouragement to stay in canter which must be exhausting when you’re petite. You have such an affinity with all your horses-the gentle and slow technique you have of gaining their trust and confidence is obviously working wonders 😊
my trainer recently got a new pony who is a bit like lumi in the sense that you have to give and take with your body language, she’s still learning,so her lope can be very chargy so we’re working on being able to do a nice calm lope without her just going into a fast trot -her old owners seemed to have just ripped around on her and not done any foundational work 😫❤but I love watching your videos to learn more about horse training!😊
