Hi Linda from Helen in Australia 🇦🇺 really love ❤ your Channel I also shared your 'Poor Man's Soup 🍲 recipe today with friends! Love your Kitty Kat I always had Cats love ❤ them also had a Ginger one called 'Puss' he was a stray and we took him in! 😂😅
Great video! Keep up the good work! I have a question and an idea for you. The question is I have planted onions before but not Egyptian Walking Onions. Do they over-winter well, will they store all winter? My idea is that I remembered you saying on a live a while back that you wanted to do a giveaway of some sort, maybe some seeds... something to that affect. You could give away about 10 of those little bulbs of the Egyptuan Walking Onions. The shipping on them would be quite cheap. Just a thought. By the way my name is Michelle and I am in central Illinois.
Egyptian Walking Onions are a perennial, once you plant them they come back every year and produce their baby bulbs to plant. No need to store the harvest them as you use them
Have you or anyone you know have a grasshopper infestation?? They have eaten almost everything I planted over the years 😢 my mint is reduced to sticks. My vines are all gone .beautiful flowering shrubs, all gone. I think my grapes and fruit trees are next. It's devastating! I read that once they do this nothing will come back. I heard that flour on the plants will work but the wind is blowing it off. My chickens can only eat so many of them so I think I am going to use seven spray around. Any tips you have would be appreciated. 😢😢😢 until things clear up here I will enjoy watching you garden.
Good morning Linda!!❤❤ are those walking onions like scallions? Also, what's that sound in background , like a snake rattling sounds like?? Hope not lol🙄
Just throw green leaves or dying leaves along with veggies scrapes in a bucket or large container add water. It will break down making a compost tea to feed your plants, when I go fishing I even add a fish to the mix

@@lindahouser9814 can't dig onions here during the winter as the ground is frozen solid.

I was going to suggest 7 dust or 7 spray, I do not have a lot of grasshoppers here only seen 1 or 2 here this summer
I was going to suggest 7 dust or 7 spray, I never had that problem yet that is. Only seen 1 or 2 grasshoppers here this year
Linda can you eat the sun flower seeds or is it a different kinda of sunflower to eat ?
You can eat them if you can harvest them before the birds get to them. I just try and save some seeds for planting next year
Lily buddy is not around , I wonder why ?
He is here somewhere
I know you know, but be careful out there!
Thanks
Linda, the Egyptian walking onion do they make a bulb?
They grow more like a Leek but taste like onions
They do not bulb up
Did you get back out and cover your water storage container so it doesnt get mosquitoes?? I remember you saying that is why you keep it covered
Yes I did thanks
I have heard/read that the main bulb of the walking onions can be quite sharp/hot tasting. Is that true? If so, do they mellow out when cooked?
They taste to me like regular onions

Chain saws running and my central air. They have been clearing lots around me to build new homes
It sounds like someone running their sprinkler system..
Are those crocuses I hear ?
They are Cicadas
Yes
