    This is great! Love the demonstration. I confirm this is a delicious liqueur and the martinis is super.

      This is so delicious. I ended up freezing the vodka soaked cherries once I finished making the liqueur. I pitted the cherries and used them in white chocolate truffles this year. They were delicious too. Thanks for watching

    I make the same but with sour cherries that I learned from my Ukrainian Grandmother and we call it " Vichnovka "

    Thanks. Where should I put the jar? In a dark place or outside the home?

      Hi there. Put the jar in a cool dark place like a cupboard. I put mine in my broom closet. It’s convenient because I can check on it periodically. You’ll have a beautiful liqueur ready for the holiday season. It can be a new tradition. Thanks for watching.

    I “found” Piana Vyshnia (from Ukraine) and it is amazing! I will follow your receipt to make it at home.

      Oh wow. It really turns out delicious and you don’t miss all the extra sugar. I find the flavour is much more pure. The only problem is it’s hard not to drink it. Ha ha. Thanks for watching and hope you like this as much as I do.

    Does this can work like a homemade Cherry perfume ? 😺😛🍒

    • @suzyrebelo
      @suzyrebelo  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello. No, this doesn’t work as a perfume. You would need an essential oil for that. I haven’t made perfumes but it’s an interesting topic to explore. Thanks so much for watching.

    Did you use brown sugar

    • @suzyrebelo
      @suzyrebelo  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I used raw sugar cane. You can use brown sugar for a deeper flavour. I like the raw sugar because it doesn’t impart any additional flavour. Just sweetness to the fruit flavour. Thanks for watching. Hope this helps.

    You can use sour cherries regular white sugar cover with cheese cloth. And place daily in the sun bring in at dusk that way you don’t have to use vodka.

      Maria, I’ve never done it that way. This is not a fermentation, it is more is infusing the vodka with the flavour of the wild cherries. It gives you a nice flavoured liqueur without the sugar. I hope this helps. Thanks for watching.

    Please write a recipe, IT IS difficult to understand, what is the second bottle made of?

    • @suzyrebelo
      @suzyrebelo  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sorry , that was one of my first videos. I used 5 cups of cherries and approximately 6 cups of vodka and a quarter cup of sugar. Alternatively, you can substitute with red vermouth instead of vodka. Thanks for watching.

    Daughter just used vodka, she didn’t use vermouth because she said it would make it too sweet

    • @suzyrebelo
      @suzyrebelo  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think you misunderstood. I made one with vodka and another with dry vermouth. They are 2 different flavours and prices so each person can try which ever they prefer. Thanks for watching
