I’m with you the cars are a little busy and I was hoping for a little more artwork. I think the sun going to do really well though, and I feel that some of these cards with the texture are gonna look really good. It might not be the artwork that we want, but I still think they’ll be studying, especially for the new generation and our kids.
Im super hype for this set coming out. I got right into it and pre-ordered 2 PC etb and the special box. Im on the fence about opening 1 to get the stamped eevee, but i know this set will do great either way. I dont think the art is nearly as good as ES, but it's still eeveelutions, so it's stupid to think it won't do good. I think they will look better in person for sure, i just hope the pull rates and quality are good for this set.
Awesome video PPP. I’m definitely hyped about this set. I can’t believe they are coming out with something that can give ES some competition. Were you able to preorder any PC etbs??
i think the length of the print run without the re prints involved which is going to be a consistent 10months this should be more compared to crown zenith than evolving
I've gotta say that I despise the "crowns", but i think they did a good job of keeping them integrated or somewhat hidden in these illustrations. I just hope pokemon prints this into the ground. I'm a collector first and foremost, so when I get an alert for something coming in stock, and 15 minutes later get to log on and it's gone because it's been scooped up by bots, it's very frustrating. I'm not a techy guy, so I'm not sure what options realistically exist, but I hope there is some sort of multistage authentication that can be developed to block or at least hamper bots In the future. While it's still infuriating to know you're getting beat out by scalpers, I find it 1000x more infuriating to know you're getting beat out by scalpers using bots
Isn’t it weird to expect the most popular eeveelutions from ES to be the same in this set? Maybe glaceon or sylveon or umbreon (once again) will take that throne.
Frankly I think this set should be compared to VSTAR universe more than evolving skies. If we think they won’t print this to the GROUND we are sadly mistaken. Don’t forget the VSTAR universe has those BEAUTIFUL glaceon and leafeon VSTAR cards too and they were gorgeous!
I definitely understand this take, but think it will massively outperform crown zenith in the short term (crown zenith is still an incredible set to invest in long term) because it is centered entirely around eeveelutions, it is coming amidst this huge hype train, there will be 32 SIR which means even with the easiest pull rates imaginable it will still be around 1/1000 for a specific SIR, and finally masterball reverses could be HUGE
I understand people will be saying it's not gonna be as good as ES but that's nostalgia talking. That's a biased opinion. Prismatic will have SIR for all Eeveelution plus 23 more (including the legendaries like Kyogre, Lugia and etc), and the Masterball Reverse Holo. Hands down possibly be the best set.
I think the one thing you might be missing is the prismatic arts have potential to have some amazing texture. I'm really looking forward to seeing them in japanese. Where maybe only the umbreon in ES has really cool texture.
I missed out on the PKC etb last week. Sure given all the Eeveelutions I understand the comparison but since Prismatic will be printed throughout September I think it will be much like Crown Zenith. Also nothing beats the clean alt art from ES. I like the Leafeon from Prismatic but in other artworks the crown jewels are too much. But that Umbreon will do best. They even got him the Moonbreon treatment right from the get go. How big you need the moon? Yes
skipping this set and surging sparks until the rocket set drops. That will be the true gauge of which set will be the next "evo skies". I see this set closer to crown zenith tho. my favorite is Glaceon and umbreon because they look the cleaniest
151 is the best set that has come out in 5 yrs. Evolving skies doesn't have shit on it, and please prismatic isn't even a good set and will have easy CZ pull rates, and will be stocked for yrs.

I’m into Surging two cases but find the artwork so gawdy and blingy. Sword and Shield is by far better imho as well.

Umbreon is vastly overrated. The other cards are much cooler.
Man the glaceon vmax and glaceon ex are both such bad cards. I really hate both of those arts so much
