A diarrhea-vomiting combo is NEVER good but especially not when it makes you miss the Aurora Borealis - if it helps, it seems like a ton of people either missed it or weren’t able to see it despite being in the zone for it (me included), so at least you aren’t alone. I hope you feel better soon.
you didn't miss much, you can't see most of it with just your eyes you had to use a phone camera in a ton of places. I only know this because I stood outside staring up at a cloudless sky for half an hour wondering where it is while someone about 15 minutes away sent me pictures they took of it with their phone
