One of my favorite Sonic games. It does have some issues. But not only does it feel like a project with genuine ambition and passion but when the game is good, it is genuinely phenomenal. I love just messing around each island and the Titan battles are some of the best moments in any Sonic game.
It's a very flawed game, but I can still have a fun time with it, and I always have the bosses to go back to whenever i feel like it, giganto and wyvern especially. You should cover the additional dlc they added as well, mainly the alternate final island.
It's flawed yes, but I absolutely enjoy it. I own this game on both Nintendo Switch and Xbox Series S, which I beat the game plenty of times on both consoles. It's in my top 10 favorite Sonic games in between SA2, Unleashed, Mania and 3 & Knuckles. The music is definitely the highlight for me next to the boss fights. Looking at you I'm Here, Break Through it All and Find Your Flame! I really like the vocal songs so much that I listened so many times alongside Cyber Space music. Definitely looking forward for the next 3D Sonic game when it happens, taking notes from Frontiers but improve. It's interesting that you haven't talk about The Final Horizon update.
I don't usually like to discuss DLC and/or updates unless they are crucial to the core game, even if I'm reviewing it several years after its initial release.
6:58 I played Frontiers on Xbox Series X and I wish I could say there weren't as many pop ins, but no they're still very prevalent. Still, from what I saw in this review the switch version doesn't seem nearly as bad as I thought it would be

He’s finally reviewing the game he’s been streaming for so long
9:57 That song will hopefully appear in the new Sonic movie.
I'm currently playing it on PS5. Very good game.
I'm glad to see your review on it @FreQuenczy. Glad to hear you enjoyed it!
Wow! I should definitely try that game out! I wonder how it'll turn out for me!
LOL at the Ryan George reference. Nice to know someone else who gets that

Well, relieving AND disappointing the high end consoles are also screwed on pop-in.
I'm guessing the next game hint (Vroom Vroom) would be...Mario Kart 8 Deluxe or any other racing game...?
