Maam i have a doubt not related to this chapter.... Was this varna system this rigid in the pre vedic age.. we hear the story of Guru Parshuram He was a brahman and was well qualified as a brahman but he had the qualities of a Kshtriya he cleaned the earth and got rid of evil khastriya kings. ... This is just a question of my curious mind. But i really understood this chapter thanks to your videos.
And one clear answer to dronacharyas act of taking eklavyas thumb. Its true thag people consider it as a sin now but the story doesn't end there. Dronacharya was a Guru. As a Guru he was a farsighted person and could see what was going to happen if eklavya became a shooter . Dronacharya has promised Hastinapur to educate the princes well enough so that they can gaurd the nation. Eklavya belonged to a tribe from Magadh which was an enemy of hastinapur during that time . So even after being Impressed by eklavyas talents he took away his thumb to keep his promise. Again this is what i heard from Bhagavatam not my own made up story. Thats all but no hate because most of the texts were lost due to the invasions hence its difficult to come to either conclusion.
