Just a correction, Lord Mahavir is not the Founder of Jainism, he's actually the Last Trithankar amongst the 24 Trithankar of this era, and the first Trithankar is Lord Rishabhdev ji
He re-established Jainism as it is today. So he is technically founder of Jainism as it is Today.

She did mention in the start it happens because of interactions with jain sadhus from childhood.
Actully jainism is about being simple and it is basic is about sanyasa. But with time it evolved and people got opportunities to experience of family life.
The reason why rich jains are taking dixa is they are satisfied with their property and now they are bored with all those materialistic life so they decide to leave that life.
24 Gods ( tirthankars ) of Jainism also passed through similar phase. It is mentioend in Jainism that such souls take birth in a Chakravarti Samrat's family (Xatriya / Non-jain ) and live luxuruous life initially and later they find it meaningless and take Jain dixa.

Being a Hindu, I respect the dedication of jains towards their religion. But this is my philosophy that we can have the balance of both materialistic things ( family and friends) and we can be monk at the same time ( not having much desires, work for the welfare of society and remain attached to our God ) . People spend millions in materialistic things and they aspire for more which take them away from spiritual world.

At some level when u enter into hardcore spirituality, doing what u said is very difficult.. Also when u stay with people, there is chances of energy exchange which will make u attached to people and places. That's why when these jains take diksha they don't stay at one place in order to avoid attachment to it. And in normal life also we take so many impressions which makes us keep taking birth.. Removing impressions is must that can happen with meditation only. Else the cycle continues, on one side u r cleansing and other side impressions keeps forming so it won't end.. And if people around you are toxic, then there is bad energy exchange between two which forms a pattern then and again u have to heal by undergoing meditation techniques, sadhana.. So good or bad energy exchange, moral of the story is the same . So what they doing is logical but very difficult.
I like every religion but Hinduism is love ♥️. Respect for Jainism it's so hard to live like that .

@@indraksheechoudhury5231 first of all , she is not a monk so she can have phone . It doesn't mean that if we belong to jain community we can't have phone . Also , there are many parts of jain and in some parts monks are allowed to have their own phone whereas others aren't . Secondly , it is not necessary to follow the practices , it depends on your own choice and faith . No one can force you to follow these practices not even your family . Its completely your choice whether you want to follow the practices or not , or you want to be a monk or not . Also , if you are not jain by birth then too you can follow jainism if you want to .

For those who lived their lives atleast 30-40 yrs in luxury then becoming monks is ok but before that in 12,20 age life is not experienced still accepting monk life is not within my understanding.... But still hats off to those all.....

Mahavira was 24th and the last Tirthankar
He was the Promotor of Jainism. Before him, jainism was there but not so much popular.
Jainism was started by the first Tirthankar Rishabh Dev. And his son Bharat, based on whom this country was named as "Bhaarat"
Jain dharm anantanant kaal se hai, aur anantanant kaal tak rahega, neither Rishabh dev started it, nor mahavir swami. Jain dharm doesn't have either beginning or the end. Teerthankars were Teachers/promotors of dharm. You are wrong in saying it wasn't popular, it's dharm (way of living) not a trend, which gets more or less popular. Jai jinendra 🙏

In Jainism, we dont believe in god but instead we believe in the teachings of Tirthankars(Spiritual leaders) who had given us various ways to live life - We should deattach from the worldy pleasures because when we die, everything including our body, name and fame is left on earth only so these comforts are just temporary for out aatma(our soul). Those who take Diksha DONT take it forcefully and they understand the deep meanings of aacharya(this way of lifestyle) and for them DIKSHA is actually a pleasue and an hounor....Worldly pleasures are not pleasures for them and they enjoy this new lifestyle willingly and with their will....There are many more things than what I have written....
If you dont know the whole reliogion then please dont critisize without knowing the full detail. This TH-camr is not actually Jain so before keeping ur opinion and point of view, you need to get the whole information from an Authentic Jain youtube channel like "Jain Media".

I have few corrections - mahaveer bhagavan is not the founder of Jainism, there are still many tirthankars before mahaveer swami. And in digambar jains also there will be sadhvi's who were white saree and the other rules will be followed same as maharaj ji.

@@anitaramteke9040 my grandfather sister means my dadi bua has taken diksha at age of 19 years and she is now 95 years of age in jetpur (gujarat), we always go to meet her once in 2 years and my grandmother in 6 months, she is very happy by taking diksha and her strong will gives our family to do more dharm and good deeds

Lord Mahavira is not the founder of Jainism. It's Rishabhnatha who found Jainism in this Yug cycle. In every Yug Cycle, there are 6 Yugs and in every Yug cycle there are 24 Tirthankars. Hence, Jainism was never founded or born so does it has no end. By the way, our religion Jainism, is the name given by British, Religion its british thing. Our religion believe that Jainism, Hinduism and Buddhism was called as Arya Dharma. But with the time, invasion of extremists and due to lack of knowledge passing through generations, we all created our own beliefs. We're one ❤

- दिगंबर का अर्थ है दिशाएं ही जिसका वस्त्र हो ।
- दिगंबर मुनिराज अहिंसा का पालन करने के हेतु पिच्छी का प्रयोग करते हैं जो मोर के झड़े हुए पंखों से बनती है ।
- दिगंबर जैन धर्म मैं स्त्रियां आर्यिका बन सकती हैं (8:27)। जिसमें उन्हें एक श्वेत सारी का प्रयोग करना होता है l
- दिगंबर मुनिराज आहार लेने , चौकड़ी लेकर निकलते हैं। घर घर जाकर वे आहार नहीं मांगते (8:50) instead श्रावकगण भोजन करने से पहले मुनिराज का पढगाहन (उन्हें अपने घर में आहार करने के लिए निवेदन करते हैं) करते हैं ।
- दिगंबर मुनिराज किसी भी प्रकार की भिक्षा नहीं मांगते ।
All the above points were just for having a clear picture of digambar jain dharm (not against of any point in this video)

At 9:33 you said Lord Mahaveer is the founder of Jainism... But it's a misconception... Jainism is being followed from the time of satyuga... And there are different 24 Tirthankara for all yugs... Jainism has been preached for a long time... And Lord Mahaveer is the 24th Tirthankara... Lord Mahaveer's preaching has been well known to the world but it doesn't mean from there Jainism has started... You can see very old temples, there's carvings of tirthankara's ... Some Jain temples have been found under water which were there for a long time....

as a Digambar Jain myself I would like to correct you on a point, in our sect. even ladies take diksha and become aryika they're called as 'mataji' in our community everything they follow is exactly same as monks but they wear cloth. you can check and search for Gyanmati Mataji who is the most influencial guruni of Jainism.

In my family few of my cousins brothers and Sisters after they became Medical Doctors... they turned themselves as Monk in Sri Ramkrishna Mission.
Myself also wanted to be , but my dear dad who is Gold medalist, and those days he was a Google... his knowledge is vast... and he gave me a piece of advice, dat leading within the materialistic life and families, if you can live like a monk then nothing like you will achieve.. I was very obedient child, from 5 years of age my parents taught me meditation and really my dad was very very true indeed...

You are wrong,hairs are plucked not to check tolerance as jainism doesn't believe in any such senseless practice but to not kill even the smallest insect or microorganism which might be present in hair. All jains practices can be traced to Ahimsha or non violence.

No one forces them to take diksha. On contrast if someone tells that they want to take diksha, their family members try to convince them to not. If there determination is strong then only they take diksha.
In Jainism it is not forced by the family or anyone. It is their self-decision. We are sent to gyaanshala in childhood to learn about our religion but there is no wrong in that. I am proud to be born a Jain.

Jainism and Bhuddhism started around the same time. But the reason Buddhism became more popular than the Jainism was that Jain principals were very strict to follow than Buddhism. The concept of ahimsa was more rigid in Jainism. This is the reason the followers of this religion gave up agriculture and farming and took to businesses and mostly settled in towns. Buddhism on the other hand was more flexible and therefore attracted more followers even outside of India..
