  • macmost.com/e-... Many of us have hundreds of app on our iPhone and iPad home screens. Keeping them organized can be a chore. But you can use techniques like app folders and searching by keyword to help. It is also a good idea to delete apps you rarely use, knowing you can download them again easily. When organizing apps, you can drag more than one at a time.

    Man is their anyway I can leave one app in one spot with out it moving like android phones cause this is super annoying

    • @macmost

      App icons shouldn't move unless you move them.

    Rearranging apps drive me crazy. Dragging them to the place I want makes all the other apps move around, or if I get near a folder the one I’m dragging goes into the folder but won’t drag back out unless I land it there then drag it out. There got to be a better way.

      I just saw a useful hack where someone used there right thumb to click and move the icon, but they used there left thumb to move the page. That helps a little at least.

    I moved almost all my apps from 6 pages of chaos onto one very organized page. In doing so I discovered a life hack that might be useful to help organize lots of files into folders without making your page to crowded. What I did was group all the apps into big folders and then I only kept the one to four most used apps on the first page of the folder. So for rideshare I have Uber and lift on the first page of the folder, and then I have two pages with all the other stuff I don’t use as often like random bike and scooter apps or food delivery services. This makes it easy to find the apps I use a lot on one screen, but when I do need to find other apps I know they should be in which ever folder pertains to that category. So a tax app in my finance folder might be on the second or third folder but I don’t use it often enough to need to know exactly where in the folder it is. Therefore, I would just have a bank app and Venmo on the first page for example.

    Can ANY of you ppl just answer the question how to put all apps on iPhone in alpha order?
    I don’t want folders. I don’t want to delete apps. I know how to move apps one by one.
    I just want EVERY app in alphabetic order.
    You know. Like ANDROID phones!

    • @macmost
      @macmost  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You already have that. Swipe to the last screen, the "App Library." Swipe down There you go, an alphabetical list.

      @@macmost So you don't know how to alphabetize the widgets on the screen. why don't you just say that?

  • @growlith6969
    @growlith6969 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Sooo, why in the hell can't you arrange your icons anywhere on the screen you want? It always hugs them as tight as possible up top. On an android you can push them to the sides and picture frame your background, or really just put them in any way you want. Why is this so stupidly rigid?

  • @f8media

    Your last tip is awesome. I used to groan every time I wanted to move a new app to another page or folder, with folders moving at random and chasing them around the screen. Now I just push and hold, click any other new icons, then scroll across with my other finger to the right window then drop. OMG what a relief. Thank you sir!

    Does iPhone has an option to arrange the Apps on phone in ALPHABETICAL ORDER? like there is a possibility to arrange in alphabetical order in Android., that becomes easy to find the app required based on the name and alphabetically.

    Is there a way to either get a widget for my library or move it so it comes up when I swipe left? Right now it is the very last screen going right. Love the alphabetical order swiping down.

    One quick way to find apps is to ask Siri to find it: "Siri, open Amazon." This works even if you have used the great ideas for organizing in this video because Siri will look inside the folders you have made. However you can not ask Siri to open a folder by name, just an app.

    I just tried to organise all my folders alphabetically and instead of doing so it deleted all the folders and now I have 9 pages of apps again, and this is the large iPad Pro! Absolutely effing infuriating! I like to have everything in folders on one screen, so how on earth do you sort the damn things?
