This process of changing a spark plug is 90% the same on most small engines. Locate the spark plug, see if it will turn out, if it's stuck, be patient and follow the steps at the end of this video. Make sure you have the right spark plug for your engine, make sure it's gapped correctly and install it.

Toro part # 81-1030. you need to change the pilot jet into this so it will quit surging. edit this is for 2stroke only with duraforce engine.

This one is the 4 stroke. I'm not getting surges anymore on this one. Does require starting fluid right now to fire up but I think that's from trying to start it with last years gas in the tank still.
