People aren't going to like me saying this but the connection between Derek and Bindi is so sincere and spectacular that it wouldn't surprise me a bit if they get together romantically when she is 25 and he is in his late 30's. They are timeless with each other. It's so fabulous to watch and feel.

+pickin4you Bindi is a very public figure with an admirable commitment to her father's legacy in Australia. I think Derek would have to move there. I can't imagine Bindi trading her animals and nature for the wide of Los Angeles. This will take a few years to develop. Let's cheer them on!

Derek became the second older man (Bindi many times referred to Derek as "family" and "big brother") in Bindi's life. Bindi so craved to again be hugged by an older strong male 'family' member and to hug him back in return. Derek now fit that description. Bindi was so at peace when Derek's arms were around her, (she often instigated the hug) and again so at peace when she hugged him in return. How could Bindi not love someone like Derek who is heartfelt, mature, kind, and strong making her feel so safe and happy? How could Derek not love Bindi who always gave off so much honest warmth and sincerity'? Both, Derek's and Bindi's positive qualities and strengths rubbed off on one another. Bindi has said that after all that time observing Derek, she now has learned to have the confidence that she did not have before, to do many things she never would have dreamed of tackling. Derek has made it a point to more often spend time with his family. Derek has gone out of his way to experience wildlife and in one tape would not kill a bug that got into the room, saying in a kidding way," Bindi would be mad at me." Bindi and Derek learned from one another and brought out the best in one another. Bindi and Derek are truly soul mates and will be for the rest of their lives.

Derek is usually such a ham for the judges and the audience. But when he dances with her, it's all about her. I know I'm not the only one on here hoping that what they saw was not just really good acting and being into each other for the dances/or tv, and that eventually they find their way to each other. I just wish I could find someone in real life that I share the same chemistry with that these two appear to have for each other on screen.
Hands down one of the best seasons and the best partnerships I mean all their dances were perfection and they have the most cumulative 10s which they are completely deserving of! I miss Derek on dwts so much but I’m happy for him and this was soo beautifully put together 😊 I never shipped them romantically but their bond was magical and this video captured it perfectly!

October 2019: Absolutely beautiful tribute to TRUE love but it isn't meant to be. Their lives are thousands of miles apart. Do you think either of them watch videos like this and cry? I'm not sure what he's doing now but she was just engaged to Chandler on her birthday and planning to be married in 2020. I wish all of them the very best. 😍😍😍 Maybe that's what took Chandler so long to propose. She had to move on. 😘😘😘
...so Bindi is still seeing the other guy now for 5 years...no engagement and Derek has been through a few girlfriends nothing serious. Here is hoping beyond hope these two find each other again...forever!!! Happiest I ever saw Derek was with her. 🙏💝💋💋🎶🎶🎶
