  • Two terrific performances of these songs when the band returned to the Warehouse. Note the film running behind the band during "Frames. About the best extended "Can't" I've heard. Enjoy, please leave comments. This is likely the last posting for awhile.

      Amen brother. Their sound still sounds unique and special today. Was listening to so much stuff back then. Do you remember Guardian with their album entitled Fire and Love. They really can rock.

      @@loudmouthnewyorker2803 heck yeah! Honestly, I was way more about the Christian Metal, but I was always looking for good Christian rock music. I still put Never Say Goodbye on ballads playlists! I didn't like Guardians first major release, but after Jamie left Tempest and joined Guardian as lead vocalist.......of yeah! Thanx for the reply and question my friend! God bless!

      I love music channels like Rick Beato and his friends like Rhett Shull, I'm alway commenting that they really need to dig into Michael Roe and the 77s and Lost Dog as a guitar player alone, but Exit's music along with Daniel Amos was always so creative and leading edge for any genre.

    • @coolnegative
      @coolnegative ปีที่แล้ว

      @@stuksy4321 i totally agree! So many amazing musicians do not get their due. Christian Alternative in the 80s!! Forget about it! Yeah Exit records really opened my mind to new, amazing music. Vector, Charlie Peacock, 77s, and so on. I've loved pretty much everything Mike Roe has touched. But then you've got Renaissance men like Michael Knott and then catchy garage rock by Mike Stand and the "boys." Such fertile territory and just flat out amazing song writing and musicianship!

    Is this the Warehouse Ministries in Rancho Cordova?(sacramento area). I used to go there in the '80's, don't remember them, but I like this! I MUST have heard them if this the same Warehouse! Another group I heard that I actually have a record of, was DeGarmo and Key. Liked them too...but these guys are MUCH better! The '70's and '80's...kind of a blur for me...

    • @coolnegative

      I am assuming so. The 77s, Vector, and many hugely talented Christian artists came out of Sacramento in the 80s usually recording at Sacramento's Exit Records. Originally the 77s came out of the Bay Area if I remember correctly, but recorded at Exit Records and made Sacramento their base. Its been a long time, so i may have some of the info wrong. A great community to join that can give you just about any answer you want about Christian music up to 1989 is a Facebook group I joined called "Jesus Music 1969-1989."

    I was at this concert. It was at the new “Warehouse” building. I think First Strike opened for them. Soon after this 77s changed. Mark Tootle left and I think Jan did too. Too bad mike and mark sure made some great music together. Although some later stuff was good but nothing could come close to their third album.
