    1/1/20: Nearly done with _Idealist_ - enjoying it immensely. On language not sure exactly what "sclerotic" or "woefully modest" mean but what's the point in quibbling? On p. 353 "I had seen" seems to describe something seen often or typically, while on p. 358 "[we] had gotten married" perhaps s/b 'we were married." Thx for the book and the upload

    It is very clear: she is an idealist that has a view of the world; many of us has a view, but she was able to reach that level of power to influence the course of action of a nation. The problem is that, that view is a troubled one and has caused for many years plenty of pain. That is the sad reality. The other big issue is that journalists don't ask anything about the consequences of her vision that she was able to transfor into crucial decisions.
    If I were in command, I would understand immediately the nature of this woman;
    Look how she speaks, she speaks to herself inwards fighting her own demons

      Her confirmation passed the Senate 87 - 10, and she wrote that her biggest worry before the hearing was whether or not she had paid the tax on ~$900 of earnings in the 1990s. We are entitled to fair and reasonable representation of legitimate governmental policies.

      She should have remained in academia because she lives inside her head. She should not occupy a position in the real world, especially not in any influential way. Much like her former boss BO. They share the same mind and both would have done less harm in the world had they stayed in their ivory towers, away from vulnerable people.

    IIRC Joshua won the battle of Jericho without a genocide even though he was charged by the Lord to do so, and his ancestor, Abraham, actually argued with G-d when told that Sodom would be annihilated. So, why are there are atrocities? Apparently it pivots on free will but idk. I enjoyed the presentation and hope someday to read the memoir. Thx
