I grew up loving the heel wrestlers (I’m 52) and I feel like Bobby Heenan always had Hogan figured out. Keep up the great work, I enjoy your observations!

I agree with your point. It surpised me while watching.I grew up watching Hogan, I love his work with the character, from the ultimate Face to an awesome Heel. It's kinda of a shame that politics either right or left has infected everything, with both sides insisted the otherside is wrong or worse.

I think another factor is one not really touched on here. Shoot interviews. So many people have access to knowledge from other wrestlers of his time. We know about all the "politicking" he's done to keep himself at the top and hold others down. We've learned about his behavior behind the scenes at WCW. Not to mention all the proven lies he's told. I don't think RAW being in LA, his political endorsement, and his infamous tape are the only factors here. Its so much more. People are fed up with him in general. And yes I am among those people. I don't care about which candidate he liked or him hawking his shitty beer or what dumb shit he said while plowing his buddy's wife (who was a swinger anyway so that doesn't really matter). But i do look at the history and character of a man that treated his colleagues like garbage and constantly lies to prop himself up. I think all of that equally factors into why he got booed out of the arena.

There is some valid points, but a lot of that was already floating around before his appearances at Wrestlemania etc. I feel it's a combination of "all of the above." and it is more tying to figure out what was the thing that tipped the scales.

Man I’ve lived in the Texas till I was about 23 Nvr experienced racism till I moved to Arizona….it was weird to me but I’ve learned in the past 12-15 yrs people are dumb asses…..a person can be smart , but not people
I like hogan I like the art more than the artist (some time the artist just as much) to me it’s not hard to separate the artist from the art…..idk maybe cause I like what I like and I know what I like…(lol mostly)

It was a tough one cause I hate politics and political catchphrases. Yet no way to not touch on it in this mess.

@ true I hate politics….i don’t mind debates/discussions/ information but the “I hate your politics/opinions/ beliefs cause I’m right and your wrong” BS
Cause to me in the end……it’s the same thing nothing changes lol but yeah it’s a tough thing to ignore/dance around

I get so sick and tired of people calling Hogan a racist! He’s not a racist. He said something racist in anger at a low point in his life about a specific person. He also said and did some stupid stuff at that same low point . He also almost killed himself at that time. But he overcame it, got saved, and asked forgiveness for his mistakes. He was wrong for saying and doing that stuff, but I forgave him and he hasn’t been that way since. A racist would continually be racist. Saying something out of line is not and then regretting it is not! When it all came out what he was caught on tape saying, cancel culture was “the new thing”. So people blew it way out of proportion. Just watch him interact with others!
But as far as the boos, it was a combination of people’s opinions about weather he lies about his wrestling stories, the grudge people hold for the comments he made 16+ years ago I just ranted about😂, and he being maga in cali!
And the beer is pretty good!
    Maniac 4 Life!

Right abd all that wasn’t very publicized as well. I agree it was a combo of factors.
