And reminding the party about the guards in the chair warehouse... Either Cthulhu isn't all that bad or Prudence really has a heart of gold beneath all the face-melting glee

I like to think that Prudence's "Why am I doing that?" Is cannon and "because you love them" is her growing conscience and she's rationalized the "nice stuff" excuse as the voice of Cthulu but it's not and she's definitely in denial of her subtle and gradual alignment shift.

To be fair to Egbert, we don't actually know what event occurred to make him seek atonement. As horrific as the thought is, maybe this is improvement?
Looking back on this from post-Spell Check era, and I think we now know that he didn't actually know what atonement was; like, he knew it was an intangible thing, but the actual path there was never revealed, hence.....

It will also be forbidden to sing the Vengabus on a ship because the Oxventurers might show up a la Pirates of the Caribbean.

I never thought watching someone else’s dnd adventures would be fun, but when my group went on a short hiatus a couple months ago, I started yours and dear god it is brilliant. I have since gone on a quest to find other good ones, and while things like critical roll are good, nothing comes close to you. I even almost bought a plane ticket to see y’all. Please keep being your wonderful selves and shower all the love on Johnny, the best dm that ever dm’d.
I'd suggest Stumpt's Hero Squad: Under The Dragon's Shadow if you haven't run across it yet. Not sure anything can compare to OXventures but Hero Squad has it's share of silliness.
I'd give The Adventure Zone a try too if you haven't already. The first few episodes are a lot of goofing and learning basic stuff, but the finale of the first chapter is pretty hilarious, and every chapter onwards gets progressively sillier until all of a sudden it's not and you're crying.
Very much agreed. Never played dnd, but we played savage worlds campaigns. Never once did I think someone would enjoy watching us lol. Oxventures are easily some of my favorite oxbox/oxtra content.

I'm really glad that the Oxventure series has gone on long enough to have running jokes like Dob having no idea how money works, Corazon saying "Ohhh my god...", inspiration for puns, and putting every NPC in a papoose.

When they enter the Kobold cave there is such a poorly worked trap that even Dob's sister spots it. However, Kobold's are well known experts at trap building. This was the work of a drunken pirate. I therefore conclude that during Corazan's berry-induced hallucinations, he actually found this cave, set up what he thought was a superbly built trap, and decided this would be the location for his loot stash. My theory.

I don't think it's too much of a stretch to think Prudence would protect her companions if you think about it. Clearly the entire party is a source of chaos, destruction and sometimes madness; they just do it with those icky, "good intentions" and make some people's lives better in the process of ruining many other lives. Deep down Prudence probably realizes this and believes in the party's potential to help her aid in Cthulhu's machinations, and would hate to see that chaotic potential lost.
Egbert providing the dragon jet-engine on the back of a Coraswan is a wonderful, wonderful image. Just keeps getting better and better.

You know, I think Egbert might be getting "atonement" mixed up with "absolution". As in Hitman: Absolution. It would explain why Egbert's solutions to everything are so similar to Mike's Hitman play style.
Given that Egberts intelligence stat is -1 I don't think he knows the meaning of either, or how to spell them or how to use a dictionary! 😂

I love how nearly every quest Johnny makes where the party is supposed to be fighting ennemies and bosses, they find a way to sneak around and go none lethal but when he specifically write a story that's about stealth and not killing the poor animals who went berserk against their will, they go full carnage, blood and vicera all over the shop. lolol

I love how in their first encounter with the boar, merilwen and dob start talking about rescuers down under for minutes, then Johny puts his hands in his eyes in disbelief, and all of a sudden corazon just says "I found some weird berries and I'm eating them"

I've replayed that "Dob, what does your sister look like?" so many times, because everything about it pretty much embodies one of my favourite things as a player and especially as a GM. Luke's reaction is adorable and so is everyone else's, just watching all those reactions almost made me tear up. But it's also clear that Johnny is enjoying himself immensely. I got the feeling that he was really, REALLY looking forward to asking the question. I've done something similar in a past game of mine. I was so excited to deliver the The Reveal that it was physically hard for me to remain neutral and not give anything away just as a character was literally inches away from finding their sibling in the last place they expected. And the player's reaction was amazing, because they were caught completely off guard, which made their reaction both funny off-game and emotional in-game. I always feel like I've done my job as a GM well if I manage to surprise/shock my players in a way that they actually enjoy, regardless of how their characters feel about it.

You just know that in a few adventures they're going to discover a lake town that's economy is based entirely around Coraswans

i think there are some videos of them playing the elder scrolls online and Luke decided to make Dob’s sister as the playable character in that and that’s when they named her
