Perfect Binder BQ-480:
- New level of automation brings more efficient and higher quality production.
Higher Level of Automation - In addition to dimension based automation, the BQ-480 features customized automated setup accounting for paper type, signature vs. loose sheet, sewn book blocks, notch binding, and other key factors for higher quality with less effort.
- Book of One Production - Maximum production speed of 800 books per hour for book of one production. (Production speed changes depending on thickness change from book to book.)
- Gentle Book Delivery System - Uniquely designed book delivery mechanism delivers the book gently for high quality books, even with 65 mm(2.56”) thickness books or PUR bound books.
- Selection of Glue Types - The BQ-480 supports both EVA hotmelt glue and PUR hotmelt glue. Two different tanks are available for each glue type.
Variable Trimmer HT-1000V:
- The Horizon HT-1000V three-knife trimmer achieves zero make-ready on book trim size and thickness changes. Well suited for shortrun production, and book of one production can also be achieved through barcode driven set-up.
- Automated set-up - The HT-1000V is set-up automatically on the fly by reading a barcode at the entrance of the trimmer. The system also is capable of automatic set-up from the operator panel for same size production runs.
- Variable size trimming - One-to-one book production with variable sizes can be produced. Both untrimmed and trimmed sizes can be variable for true variable format production.
- In-line Production - The HT-1000V can be placed in-line with Horizon perfect binders to maximize finishing automation and minimize human operation error.
- High Speed Operation - Maximum cycle speed of the HT-1000V is 1,000 books / hr.
For example, A4 to A5 alternating sequence (book of one production) can be *950 books / hr.

MANAGE YOUR BINDERY WITH HORIZON'S BINDERY CONTROL SYSTEM - The system can be enhanced with automated workflow from upstream to post-press with iCE LiNK, which uses cloud technology, Horizon's post-press management system.
