  • The Maritim Hotel at Dusseldorf Airport is a very large business orientated hotel, of very high quality with excellent facilities. It is literally a 2 minute walk from the Airport's Terminal C.
The building is an extremely modern combination of high tech and brutal architecture. There is much glass and steel in the building's construction.
I stayed there for one night in November 2015, it was a last minute decision to stay there, as I missed a flight home (through no fault of my own I hasten to add). Therefore I paid the top price of 179 Euro (about £126) for one night, room only. I wouldn't normally pay that much for a hotel room, but I'd been travelling all day, was tired and just wanted a bed for the night.
My room was lovely, everything about it oozed quality and I was very happy about that. I had a room overlooking the airport apron, which made for some interesting viewing (I requested this, there are also internal rooms). With the windows closed there was virtually no noise at all.
The hotel has a gym and a very good swimming pool, which I spent an hour in, completely alone - this was very nice. The hotel also has bars, a restaurant, and other retail outlets, as well as extensive conferencing facilities.
Late check-outs are available for 10 Euro per hour. I requested a 2 hour room extension to 14:00, upon checking out, the 20 euro fee was waived - this was a very nice gesture on behalf of the hotel.
I will absolutely definitely stay at this hotel again in future, however I will book in advance so that I secure a better price.

Thanks for the positive feedback, the camera is both my Canon Camcorder that I've always used as well as an iPhone 6s, which is a new addition.

That hotel looks very nice or I should say "pristine" and yea that pool looked nice. I'm assuming you travel to all these countries for your job so, what is it that you do for work....if you don't mind me asking?

+daredevil7442 Yes I was there for work. I'm a lecturer and manage a partnership with a university in Germany, which gets me over there a couple of times a year :)

I just stumbled across your video now, after 3 1/2 years. Fun fact: I work there now :-D Quite nice to see some older shots. Have you been there again since?

Telumetar07 No, that was the last time. I imagine that I will stay there again at some point though. What are the changes?

@@stuartmoss Mostly internal stuff that people not working there would not notice on the first hand, like other uniforms in some parts of the hotel or a slight rearrangement of the bar. Apart from that, e.g. the rooms have new televisions
