I agree with you Lori, she does like Jeff!! That beautiful smile almost every time she looks at him!! Then that one second, hey Lori!! You’re doing a fantastic job!!❤❤
You are doing awesome! I lost a brother to this terrible disease in 2023. You know she doesn’t mean some of the things she says. She loves you so much! You are an obvious bright light of her day! That smile!
You ignore those nay-sayers!!!! You are doing such am amazing job of loving your mother! I know it's hard, I've been in your shoes! As hard as it is, I know you cherish each moment! What I'd give to talk to and hug my momma! Big Hug and Much Love❣
Soak in the “ hey Lorri”. Early on my momma lost a name for me. If she called me anything it was mom. I did understand why she did that. I felt lucky that she always seemed to know that I was supposed to be there with her. Even when she was fussin’ about something. The guessing game is real and you are doing a wonderful job, the love you have for her shows with all your actions. Thank you for sharing her with us.❣️
You are doing a fantastic job in a super difficult situation. If this were ever to be me, I would hope for the patience and love you show her by my caretakers.
I hope you know any of my comments are not to blame you or make you feel bad. I've just been around so many Alzheimer's and dementia people. Your mom is awesome!!! Her smiles are so rewarding. God bless you both!!!
Lorri, I worked several years on the Alzheimer's/Mental Health unit at a nursing home. PLEASE let me tell you that you are doing 💯 of things perfectly ❤️ I tell folks it's not easy, it's hour by hour at this stage. Your momma is quite alert in my opinion. As for the nursing home, we could talk for hours. I don't want to come across harsh, so please don't take it that way. Aside from private round-the-clock care this is probably going to be the same in just about any retirement (nursing) facility. There are amazing aids that aren't just there for a check. You'll find some who truly take their jobs to heart. If you come across staff like that, you're very blessed. I soo wish I could just come and take care of your precious momma ❤️ I would give anything to ease your mind. Please know you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers, along with of course, momma ❤ God Bless you all 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
I would not critique anything you say to your sweet mom. Having been through this experience with a family member, no one has any right to judge. You are more than caring and patient. I also have several siblings but the job always fell to me. It is a heartbreaking illness to witness. So hard for the caregiver. Bless you. ❤
I just found your channel. It brings back so many memories. I cared for my momma, grandma. You're doing such a good job. Everyone needs an advocate. Can you tell me where you got the Grey Cat? I know someone who could use it. Take it one visit, moment at a time.❤
My dad had about the same happen to him, he had a stroke and he never recovered, but he did the wheelchair for a little bit and we’d get him to dr’s but that all ended he didn’t wanna get up because it hurt, he’d say things that he didn’t mean or he’d get mad about things, but then he’d think about it I guess and he’d apologize, because my feelings would get hurt and I’d cry, it was dad but wasn’t dad, I grieved my dad so many times and he was still their it’s awful, we lost dad after 3 years.
lorie I bet she'd like gardening magazines or seed catalogs with pictures of flowers. She seems like she's looking for the bright pictures, like the cover was..
Your mother was more AWARE in this video..she knew what she was talking about but some of the words didnt come out right. She also knew the cat was not real 😊
She was really trying to say something?. Lov her ur mum has brilliantly helped me with ma dad . What a lovely Lady, with such a beautiful smile, you are very good with her too Lorri.....please don't take offence though I'm not being disrespectful,I do think Momma could do with some clean tops and her glasses cleaned. I totally understand how hard it is caring for a loved one with dementia ,i totally do. May God Bless you all.
Sure has a great smile. You are wonderful. May try a pillow behind her when in a wheelchair, i spend time in one and if its to big for me back hurts , i see shes moving as if uncomfortable.
She always seems hungry is she eating enough there? Mom definitely lost weight since the video with the petting animal book, you can see it in her legs mostly.

Do they ever have therapy dogs or cats come visit the residents there. I believe that would be great for them.

your mom must have always been a flirt with the fellows. I don't mean that rude.. She really connects with Jeff.
Maybe her T.V. is on shows that upset her.
She always seems hungry is she eating enough there? Mom definitely lost weight since the video with the petting animal book, you can see it in her legs mostly.
You ask her to many questions to fast always agree with her
Fix her neckline.
