I, for one, welcome the addition of such a character. It's refreshing to see someone in the game who isn't: A) A cold-hearted killer B) A bloodthirsty warrior C) A self-righteous fighter of justice Pyrrha's personality is a pretty refreshing contrast of Soul Calibur's ,or pretty much any fighting game's, typical roster.
It can be refreshing for a personality swap. But it becomes quickly annoying when she puts herself down or behaves as if she's the one who lost despite winning the fight for her life. Sophitia often didn't want to come to blows but she didn't destroy her own confidence in her fighting prowess. She beseeches the opponent to give up or stop fighting, while Pyrrah is practically begging and whining. Even when the fight is just a friendly spar.
There's nothing wrong with Pyrrha, the fact that she's so timid is why she's so good. She's afraid of combat, but she's forced to fight anyway. She's much more believable than the steroids Gary Stu characters that appear in a lot of fighting games.
As much as cute Pyrrha looks, I don't think someone like her belongs in a series full of hardened warriors. I mean, she gets scared easily and her moves look very desperate. You know what? Daishi Odashima, the game's director, even said that Pyrrha has a shy and naive personality just to make her appealing to Japanese audiences. Make of that what you will.
Appealing to audiences, but my biggest complaint was Pyrrah's personality comes off as grating. She fights desperately but constantly puts herself down. Saying things like "I'm weak, I'm sorry, I don't want to fight!" She puts herself down where Shy and Naive isn't downright depressing and negative about themselves. This sort of personality would better suit someone who is trying to prove themselves but is put up against insurmountable odds. Look to her victory animations. She has so many animations that appear as if she's losing, rather than successfully overcoming what she thought was impossible. Fainting on the floor? Running away after beating her opponent?
Honestly, that's what I think makes her work. If she were just another "for justice" or "Hey let's fight" character she'd be nothing more than boring or, even worse, female Patroklos
I'm trying so hard not to laugh. This whole fight was: I'm sorry, please no, i'm sorry, please no i'm sorry please no. and in the end the winner runs off crying.
Pyrrha is of course the hostage, with "special" powers. She turns from an innocent girl that says sorry for every time she hits someone, to a cold-blooded soul-taker.
After all these years I have been playing Skyrim and Soul Calibur I knew there were something familiar with Pyrrhas voice, but could never put my finger on it. Untill I started playing Skyrim again
Man so triggered that you came back four years later just to spout the same BS. It's even sadder that more people have moved on and accepted her when you're still the same whiny brat back then, even more than the one hate. Please keep that salt coming it's delicious!
They should've kept Cassandra and Sophitia, Patroklos and especially Pyrrha are lame, either that or they should've toned down her timidity and stupidity a little for westerners sake.
Michelangelo Caravaggio I don't agree with that. Pyrrha and Patroklos are really touching. Not all the characters have to be self-confident & audacious; timidity and sweetness is what was missing in this license.
Honoka Doa A little timidity and sweetness is nice, I just thought it was overdone, and I was sorry to see Casandra and Sophitia go. Btw, you sound sweet ( :

You are so right😱
I love Pyrrha and Cassandra but I absolutely adore Sophitia with my heart 💓
2:13 always loved that badass stare she gives at the end
Pyrrha: I have to fight..... Me: Put all Your Fears Aside.
-"I'll remember you, you fought well"
Almost same line from her mother in Soul Blade: -"I will never forget you"
Screw the haters I love Pyrrha!
so do i. i think she's cute
+Magnus 1122 sophitia is more beautiful
Matt Bennett FUCK THEM TOO I LOVE HER TOO 😍😍😍😍
I learned all her move and also I'm learning Tira and Xiba
Matt Bennett Me too, and at 7:31, I wish I gave her a hug. She looks very emotional.....

Vladimir Morales I mean Sophitia was sort of a little bit the same way in the beginning, but not to this extent.

She's desperate and scared because she was forced to kill people by tira for the past few years and she's only 21 so her teens were a nightmare
Honestly, that's what I think makes her work. If she were just another "for justice" or "Hey let's fight" character she'd be nothing more than boring or, even worse, female Patroklos

Sophitia=Pyrrha

I know they are a Japanese developer but why did they give Pyrrha Japanese mannerisms like bowing when she is Greek?
12:01 Nice combo by the A.I
Pyrrha's voice actor is the same as Serah in FFXIII-2
Yeah fuck her!
Laura Bailey
And Chun Li from street fighter iv and v, and kid trunks from Dragon Ball Z, and Maka from soul eater
After all these years I have been playing Skyrim and Soul Calibur I knew there were something familiar with Pyrrhas voice, but could never put my finger on it. Untill I started playing Skyrim again
she's that until she becomes Omega Pyrrha anyways
i don't want to fight!
*stabs you in the abdomen*
Yeah...Pyrrah is actually the worst. Her and Patroklos. They're fun to use though.
1:40
How the hell are you going to say I'm sorry after you make your opponent fall on your sword when you fall back and take him/her with you? Yeesh.
understatement of the century
Pyrrah: Daughter of Sophitia
True
her name means fire
Is there a walkthrough I can view that has hard difficulty or above?
i do that too sometimes,i think it shows a little respect,i might be wrong though
i feel like pyrran and ivy are enemys cuz pyrrah hates fighting ivy.......tortuures her victims
6:03 an unblockable attack just got blocked? how ironic...
I'll remember you, you fought well
Screw the haters I love Natsu because I look most like her

Matt Bennett

i just realized that lol!
12:02 YOU GOT MIXED
i wonder who had the idea of removing the gorgeous sophitia and the cute alexandre and replace them with those two trashes
Man so triggered that you came back four years later just to spout the same BS. It's even sadder that more people have moved on and accepted her when you're still the same whiny brat back then, even more than the one hate. Please keep that salt coming it's delicious!

Ikr! I was quite upset when SCV said that Cassandra and Sophitia aren't going to be in the series anymore :(

Pyrrha... such a cliche character. And incredibly irritating.
I found this puppet theatre! The puppets? Rude!
I dislike you, Pyrrha! >:/
Who cares?
+PorkNotBeef Don't dislike pyrrha, she is a great character and impressive fighter
