"When the game is over, the king and the pawn go into the same box." I read this somewhere.
Didn’t realize three people from the movie “Airplane” all died in 2010 (Leslie Nielsen, Peter Graves, and Barbara Billingsley).
A notable omission to this list is John Wooden. Arguably the greatest college basketball coach of all time. He won 10 national titles including 7 in a row.
💓 Rue McClanahan, my favorite Golden Girl.
Wow we lost a lot greats that year. 😢
Thanks for remembering Ali- Ollie Woodson.
He's forever one of the greatest Temptation members and one of the greatest singers period. RIP
1-Barbara Billingsley, Leave it to Beaver.
2-Tom Bosley, Happy Days.
3-Gary Coleman, Different Strokes.
4-Peter Graves, Original Mission:Impossible and the new Mission:Impossible in 1988 & 1989.
5-Pernell Roberts, Bonanza and Trapper John, M.D.
R.I.P. TO SOME GREAT ACTORS THAT WERE TOPS IN COMEDY & DRAMA.
No mention of Johnny Maestro (Mar 24,2010) one of the best voices of the 50s and 60s pop music scene. Performed with "The Crests" and "Brooklyn Bridge". Famous for "The Worst That Could Happen", "16 Candles" "Welcome Me Love" among very many other hits of that era. A true vocal legend, missed by many.
Tony Curtis is one of the legends of the screen. Great actor, nice guy. He worked with some of the best, Bing Crosby, Robert Mitchum, Jeff Chandler, Frank Sinatra, Burt Lancaster, John Ireland, James Stewart...
Robert Culp and Leslie Neilson both appeared in episodes of Columbo.
July 5th Robert Alan "Bob" Probert. Widely regarded as the toughest player to ever put on hockey skates and play in the NHL.
Peter Fernandez died in 2010. Voice Actor and Director of voice dubbing for a number of Animes.
Most notably, "Speed Racer" where he voiced Speed, Racer X and other characters. Also did voices in Gigantor, Marine Boy and the live action Ultraman. His last role was that of a TV announcer in the live action Speed Racer in 2009.
Glad you mentioned Peter Fernandez. He was terrific in the Speed Racer series. He passed away from lung cancer on July 15, 2010
You also missed longtime baseball play-by-play broadcaster Ernie Harwell, died May 4, 2010 at the age of 92......he did the TV broadcast of Bobby Thomson's 1951 "Shot Heard Round The World" for the New York Giants, then went to Baltimore from 1954 to 1959, and finally to my Detroit Tigers for the majority of the next 42 years from 1960 to 2002 with a brief interruption in 1992......
Gloria Winters and Donna Douglas of the Beverly Hillbillies (who died in 2015) had many similar qualities. They were both pretty, perky as well as very good actresses. As well, Gloria and Donna both portrayed characters who were quite sweet and innocent, for the most part.
I remember when Rue McLanahan died, I said to my mother, "She was your age. I'm getting concerned." My mother said she wasn't planning to be Rue McClanahan, she was going for Betty White. She lived only 3 more years, though...23 years short of Betty White's age.
Eddie Fisher was one of my singing heroes, too bad about his abominable marriages.
Wow you forgot Ronnie James Dio. Probably the biggest lost of 2010.
You forgot Ilene Woods, the original voice of Disney's Cinderella.
I always watch on my TV and in doing so, commenting isn’t an option. I have deliberately pulled up one of your videos on my phone just to comment and say that I appreciate your work and am grateful for each video. You put together these videos tastefully, thoughtfully and your empathy shines through. I truly am touched each time I watch. Thank you… sincerely.
Adiós Maravillosas Estrellas Inolvidables 💖🌹🇨🇱📽️🙏🌹

Aww. We lost half the cast of Airplane! (1980, Paramount) in 2010.
My Mom also passed away in 2010, 9/15/ 31 , 8/26/10 aged 78!😢
At 2:18 I can't resist:
Dorothy Provine was the first person, in my memory, to front an ad for a " feminine hygiene " product, that is to say, a douche.
I remember her saying in a magazine interview the commercials were not spoken of in her home....
God bless Jimmy Dean. He's still doing commercials.
So young
Bob Guccione also founded Omni magazine.
Fashion designer Alexander McQueen also died this year. Sad he didn't make the list.
joan sutherland died on october 10, 2010
Greg Giraldo, a popular stand-up comedian well known for the Comedy Central Roasts, died on September 29, 2010 after being in a coma for four days following a prescription drug overdose.
My Mother passed away February 19th 2010 of cancer.
@5:09-Tom Bosley also starred in the 1959 musical "Fiorello". Let out of the video.
4:59 -- Don't forget she was Nanny on Muppet Babies!
How could you leave out Allen Swift? I grew up watching him voicing Tooter Turtle on The King And Odie Show. And you struck out leaving out Ron Santo Chicago Cubs 3B who admitted he was diabetic.
Bobby farrel missing too
I never cared for him myself. He didn't sing & in fact only 2 of the girls sang as well.
Teddy😢😢😢
I've noticed that peopled died much younger in the 1970s. You almost never see anyone reach beyond 80. It's like everyone stopped smoking or something.
James MacArthur was just one month short of turning 73 years old when he died. He played Danny Williams in the tv show "Hawaii Five-O." He died from cancer.
He fell off a ladder pruning bushes/ tree in his backyard and broke several ribs, he was in the hospital for a while, but never recovered…
Jill Clayburgh was nominated for “An Unmarried Woman” but lost to Jane Fonda in “Coming Home”, her second nomination was for “Starting Over” but lost to Sally Field in “Norma Rae”
I never knew Peter Graves and James Arness were brothers.
Where’s Ronnie James dio!?!?
Just FYI, Sparky Anderson was a coach, not a couch. You may want to fix that.
I do believe that if Gary Coleman, hadn't got hooked up with that hellcat, he married, he might still be alive tdy.
RIP Gary Colman & Cory Haim.🪽🌹🕊
I heard it reported that JD Salinger had prostate cancer that had metastasized.
Jeez, knew their faces but couldn't name Gary Coleman or Rue Mcclanahan on the thumb. Time does that.
Somente no SENHOR JESUS CRISTO podemos ter a Vida Eterna. Que DEUS NOSSO SENHOR abençoe os familiares enlutados e abençoe ricamente a todos! Pr. Cássio Roberto.
On Blake Edwards,...' Breakfast At T iffany's ' was '1961' not ' 1981 '.
Pretty girls!
Lillian Gish and Helen Hayes were good friends, but she was not James MacArthur’s grandmother.
as a yankees hater i never liked george steinbrenner because of the way he bought championships but i later came to respect his philanthropy and his patriotism he could've signed carlos delgado who came out publicly and voiced his hatred of america and steinbrenner didn't sign him. he obviously took love of country over winning. not to mention in 2001 a highschool marching band in tampa was supposed to travel somewhere to perform but couldn't come up with the money so george flit the bill for it. a great man rip george the game of baseball misses you and so do the yankees.
My dad has colon cancer
No mention of Malcolm McLaren who basically invented the best punk band in the World
I’m pretty sure Edwin Newman worked for nbc longer than 4 years??
L I llian Gish never had children.
Sally DaMusso aged 102 die. She was oldest hippie at Woodstock
An another one that died in this year (2010) was US Senator Robert C. Byrd. He was the longest serving member in the United States Congress and he was also a musician. He served in the Senate til the day he died.
Former member of the KKK and king of pork barrell legislation for West Virginia.
Ah, Art Linkletter!
Some may remember him as a host of wholesome television.
I remember him for, after his daughter's suicide, stating it was under the influence of LSD. He implicitly blamed Timothy Leary.
After his death the media informed us, oh by the way, that LSD connection to Miss Linkletter, NOT TRUE. We only circulated the story...Out of kindness, I suppose.
I wonder what was so great about Eddie Fisher that 3 beautiful women married him? 🤔 Didn't seem like he appreciated any of them.
Not one died of broken anus. Enjoy every day and drink coffee, it revitalizes you 😊
Leslie Neilson is without a doubt a comedy legend. The Naked Gun trilogy is just as hilarious as it was when it first came out. Rip Leslie. You were great.
I thought he was hilarious in Dracula Dead and Loving It.😂
I remember when he was in one of the early columbo episodes. Mr.Neilson one of the best comedic actors ever.
Early in his career he was a dancer and dramatic actor.
He also was a top notch dramatic actor. He was a frequent guest on dramatic TV shows before Airplane. He played the ship's captain in The Poseidon Adventure. He was the lead in the science fiction classic Forbidden Planet with Walter Pidgeon,Anne Francis,& a young Earl Holliman.
@@eddieerickson3348He was a very good dramatic actor.Columbo was no sitcom.
