Your piece of hardware looks like the plate off of a lap desk from the 1700 or 1800's. I have seen several, I could make that a good guess. A lot of those had small hardware. Great finds as always!
The rectangle piece is possibly part of a lock box! Find of the day is no doubt the presidential token which was a bucket lister for you, and I can see why! The buttons were good finds too! Keep on digging Stef and I'll catch you on the next. ✌️ 😊
Hello Stef! Nearly two weeks since I have seen a TH-cam video and you are first. Another very good round of digging, remember everything you dig is 99.9% of the time far better than anything I dig. About the VHS tape; I believe it is a striker plate, maybe from a box , but something with a latch.
I believe you are correct about that metal plate, looks like a strike plate for a door. You always have fantastic finds but that coin has such history, it would be my favorite too. Great stuff!
Great Stellar stuff again Steph!! I really liked the W.H. Harrison token! The small strike plate looking find could be off a smaller box, maybe jewelry box or something similar. Thanks for all you do!!
Hey my friend, it was nice to see you on QH last night- you did a great job! You were in button heaven during this episode, and major Congrats for the WHH presential token- what a sweet piece of history. Excellent presentation as well. Until next time, take care!
Very Awesome Hunt Stef. Congrats on all the Buttons. Love seeing all of them. Congrats on the William Henery Harrison Token. What a awesome piece of History. Congrats on that Bucket Lister Stef. Take Care
Stef great video as always. I really enjoy watching all your videos. You’re very knowledgeable with everything you find. Thanks for sharing and happy hunting 😊
Saw you on Quarter After and the reviews you got were so solid that here we are...... Just passing Harrison and your history cutout - yep, I'm subscribed.
I see the pics of you, Brad, the QH crew etc and think, MAN I wish I could’ve dug with that group and learned a TON in doing so. That pic of Harrison with the shovel, I didn’t know they had detectorists back then 😂😂😂 Cool token! When you say a pile of rubble, like a pile of stacked rocks? Brick? I see rock piles but I think where I am they are mostly boulders broke by ice and trees.
Heeey Stef!!! Sweet finds congrastulations!!! Love that piece of history attached in film! great job! Keep it filming and posting! Big salute from your south European friends!
Well done Stef. Button fest there mate. Better watch out. We might have to have a button off to see how can find the most buttons in a video 🤣🤣. Big congrats on your Harrison token. I knew about the buttons ( funnily ) but not the full history. Great find. Just done Detectival. Great weekend. May have found Roman and hammered 😉. Take care mate 🦘🦘😁👍
That token was amazing! Thanks for sharing the history - I had to Google the song because I'd never heard of it. And very cool that you live in a log cabin - is it old? And just for perspective, a house built in the 1920's is considered old where I'm from! Thanks for another great video - I have no doubt that site will be offering up a whole lot more! ❤
Was shocked to find it there! Newer than anything else that was at the site. 😆 My house was built in 1978, not even a ‘64 silver in this yard. I’ve tried. 😂

Heck yeah! 🤘🏻
Rectangular piece possibly part of a box locking mechanism.
Was thinking something similar to that
I was thinking cabinet / cupboard strike plate

@@kimetherington2252 thank you! Lock box has been a popular answer - could be!
Steph, during the winter months can you do a few shows explaining how you clean some of your coins and relics? Maybe some before and after shots?
I’ve thought of doing this before - I need a good spot in my house to film cleaning sessions, which is a big ask at the moment, lol.
@@StefDigs I totally get that! I don't have allot of room around here either 🙏
I really appreciate your side comments on the history of some of your finds. Really gives some depth to what you do. Thanks!
You’re welcome! Always like to include the history whenever possible!
I think your lock hardware could be for a deadbolt. Possibly for a desk or a box considering the size. Was it brass or iron?
Definitely brass/copper alloy

Maybe that rectangle piece is the faceplate of a latch lock for a wooden box or trunk or window?

I have found one of those William Harrison tokens, mine still has the gold guild on it
I didn’t get as lucky, the pine sap does a number on relics and coins!

Harrison is related to Harrisons pawn stars
Is he? Didn’t know that!
I was expecting a GW button.
