This is definitely inspired by John Carpenter's The Thing. The Character's last name is Macready. Honestly, we need more The Thing games (if anyone mentions, Among Us isn't one of them).
It is definitely The Thing, but I think its closer to the Matthijs Van Heijningen 2011 remake, or "prequel" rather. The monster and the way the dogs happened reminds me more of that. Plus the female character
