Nep man I feel your giving EA a huge benefit of the doubt here with these reactions and they just don't deserve it, you say we asked for these things as a community, we ask for better passing, consistent shooting and tackling, refs to be fixed, formations to be balanced, to be given the win when people who quit at 0-0, corners to be fixed, stupid bicycle kicks outside the box to be fixed, we don't want 600 new animations because it's the same thing for the last 4 years, new animations means slower gameplay and more inconsistencies for EA to never deal with it. When people say this is a "L" we have a point and history is on our side
I agree mate. Nepz is a promoter of EA hence you can expect him to be biased. He makes money out of content. But for us football fans we just wish game would deliver the points you made😂

His livelihood revolves around the game .. obviously he’s going to act excited for it regardless. It wouldn’t be in his best interest to talk bad about the game or discourage others from purchasing. He wants people to be excited so that he retains views once the game launches

Ok, name a better sports game or specifically football game than fc 24. EA are sharks like any other major company but I do believe they currently have the best game and i do like that they are evolving it. I’m a FUT founder from back in the day and played pes a lot, for me fc24 is the best football game the last 10 years. Pes 2018-2019 was great on pitch but lacked content. For everyone jumping on the ea hate wagon, hy don’t you just stop playing the game and consuming content? Could be healthy for your mental health. I took a fifa break at one point and only dipped my toes in it for a few years and now I love it. The trick is not to take it to serious and enjoy what is actually good. I really look forward to career mode with EA IQ implemented, it is just what i asked for. And the fact hat you can skip press conference, Jesus is hate those..

@@jordanwalton1186 Have no say? No lad that's not how it works and what he says is valid because they quite literally do that.. Year on year it's dynamic this and AI system that, whilst failing to deliver the very basic gameplay experience. The menu content in FiFA/EAFC is amazing, SBCs, objective and so on, but the football aspect is fucked every year and this year the menus were even broken too. Avid players year on year hope they get an improvement and that's why where here, but the gameplay is always crap. EA are masters of believing their own hype. We as customers are the one with the cash and we want a game that's playable.

@@PurpledNightt why? If they didn't fix the bugs and added only more games to be played in CM it will end up the same as EA FC 24 career where it broke after 2nd season with breakable game bugs.

The new tactic system 100% will mean that people are using more of the same players. It literally took about 4 weeks for people to have insane teams on the last game and after that point the meta will be figured out and everyone will be using the same creator code tactics and the most meta players to fit the roles.
well its your decision to be a sheep or not. Dont blame the Game for that if you let others dictate how you play just bc you think it will bring you to a higher league,higher key or higher what ever, It doesnt matter for 90% of the players if you play a meta or off meta champ in lol. It also doesnt matter if you play a meta spec in WoW or not, that will not decide what youre gonna reach at the end(ppl think it will cuz some crazy tryhards can get some lil percentage more out of it and it pays off for them), applys to all online games Meta is just a symptom of how ppl psychologicly approach online games for the past 15 years.

I’m always positive about this game and not one to moan. I’ve actually enjoyed the fifa (EA FC) grind since 2018. So maybe I’m a newbie but like when I played Madden intensely as a kid from 2000-2019, there was always massive updates year on year and they’d sell the game very well. However in terms of the playbook in an NFl game there was always a handful of plays that worked over and over and numerous plays that would never work at all, unless the AI defence play ONE specific play. It’s almost impossible to program AI to react like a human. Maybe this year 2024/25 it could be close. But I feel all these ‘Role’s and play styles’ will be limited and then fifa pros will bring out tactics and glitches that make the game one dimensional. I’m always hopeful, and fingers crossed they do it well, I’ll buy the game and always grind and enjoy that. I hope they tweak Evo”s this year as they were amazing this year.
Will play it on ps plus next summer with all best cards ain't grinding this shit for a year
I’m not sure I understand why you think any of these roles are so different from player instructions? It might play different in game but on paper, it’s not far off?
If it plays different in game that's kind of the point, right?
Player roles will probably be more in the "how" they'll perform those instructions. E.g cut inside... Sprint for counter attack? Final third instead? For a thru ball.
Cut inside positioning with jog for support play/possession. Receive ball at feet etc...

Sounds like meta players will just become more important compared to tactics. So unless you have the best players the tactics wont work.
i like the new additions, especially being able to choose off and on the ball formations.

All well and good, but we all know it'll be slightly changed but overall a clone of every single year previous. They need to build the game from ground up but that's impossible when they prioritise the yearly cash out

It think the problem with the player role ++ is that when you have found your favourite formation and player roles, that only a few players will be useable in that system. And if you don't use those players you will be at a massive disavantage. (like now playing with people with 1 or 2 ps+)
Because what I want every year is more variety in players you can use, aka not give 4 man city players or the same players over and over a special card each promo.
And the question with evo's is, will low rated players (without a ++ role) you have evo'd up gain a ++ role? Otherwise evo's are already dead.
The problem with them generating hype is that there is a lot of distrust when it comes to gameplay changes. EA have never once proven that they can make a game nuanced enough from a gameplay or tactics perspective that doesn't just fall into another year of everyone using the exact same tactics. The expectation based on historical evidence is that one or two of these 'player roles' will be completely broken.
I just wish i could actually control the goal keeper or at least b able to run with him even for a few seconds. Those dam chip shots.

Strikers -
Advanced Forward = FC24 striker with default instructions
Poach = FC24 Get in Behind
False 9 = False 9
Target Forward = Target Man
Wingers:
Winger = FC24 winger with no instructions changed
Inside Forward = Cut Inside
Wide Playmaker = Come Short
Etc.

ORIGINAL FIFA 1994 PLAYER HERE. FIFA 98 ROAD TO WORLD CUP IS MY #1 ALL TIME GAME. EVERY PART OF IT WAS PERFECTLY FUN AND ENJOYABLE. A FEW EARLY 2010S WERE DECENT AND FIFA 17 WAS THE LAST DECENT FUN GAME.

The meta will just end up being crazy high pressure that will force you to play down the wings just like the last 10 fifas. They talk about different tactics but it always favors the same style of play.
People should be infuriated if they are trying to play a 1st time pass on the volley to a player behind them. I would love the game to be as realistic as possible.
Basically copying PES + FM at this point. I can already see meta formations/tactics, based on FM knowledge. Also content creators selling their tactics for money? Yeah, that might happen ;).

u said for example bellingham is good at shadow striker and if u dont have himu will use another tatic making teams more unique but then u want players able to switch their roles as you said with saka which will just ruin the first point imo so you have to pick one or the other

i personally quit 5 years ago and life has honestly never been better. No more rage and anxiety. Also earned a really good degree and post grad in that time. Mastering video games is honestly a worthless waste of time and i kinda regret being a top 100 player back in 17/18. All those wasted weekends during my youth and free time too. Rather master stuff that'll benefit you throughout your life, like studies or gaining experience
