I would love to watch the entire process. Dropping the anchors as part of the docking scenario is something that I have never seen on a video . I think others would like to see that also .
tackless you don't tend to drop anchor in a modern marina. You pick the lines up from the dock which are already are permanently anchored and walk them forward to the bow.
That massive sailboat it docked next to is beautiful. And, nice job docking.... it's great now that these big boats have props on the sides in front and back to maneuver like this.
Bill, another words, you clearly have never captained a boat of this magnitude with no wind, thrusters, and twin screws. Talk is cheap and transparent.
You know how easy that is with thrusters? I pilot a 45 feet cabin cruiser, Turns around on it's own axis. 360 in less than 10 secs. Almost no drift because of the weight. Bigger the boat, the easier it get's. I would be more amazed watching someone park their car decently. You could learn this in less than 30 mins.
No wrong sir you cannot learn that quickly with shaft driven boats! With pods and gps to keep boat in perfect position you could learn it in a few goes but with shaft and thrusters it takes a little practice no doubt! But all in all docking a yacht is not a terribly difficult maneuver! Just practice and PATIENCE!
Sorry this could be done by my 14 year old son! With joy stick and or remote controller anybody could do it he also had no wind! If it was a rough windy day thats different but in these conditions with joy stick easy! And you could see the captain at the flybridge controls using his left hand only while looking to his right starboard as thrusters working means he absolutely has joy stick!!! I mean yes very first time you may be a bit of centre but after a few goes its no challenge in these conditions!!

these large boats have bow lines going down in the water in this video
Why have you subscribed?: not where I live...

Thats how you dock a boat! Nice job skipper!
Slow is smooth, smooth is safe, slow and smooth are controllable.
Puzzoozoo: “slow is pro”
slow is pro! slow is not controllable because of the rudder issue at low speed
Bandazul, a glorious yacht owned by Dutch businessman Wim van Der Straaten.... Top guy
I thought Bandazul was a 30M Princess? This is a Sunseeker 28
Even with bow thrusters you have to know what you're doing. This takes practice.!!
I think the same, a maneuver very well executed
Yeah, and that command station on the stern didn't help a bit!
Not only bow, Bow and Stern thrusters.
A fine example of skilled "helmsmanship".
There is also a Princess 30M called 'Bandazul"......
Nice professional docking
Excellent Video as Always TY
Thanks Jack!
No wind, bow thruster and twin screws. Easy peasy.

Bill Moron XD
actually is easier to dock a large yacht than a small one in many scenarios.
eloyex: please illuminate for the hard of boating
Nice, making it look so easy.
It is actually easy.
Watching from durah marina Jeddah 🌊🌊🛥🛥⚓️⛴⚓️
little or no wind and bow thrusters still a nice job though.

Simres: I love your style
Good, but not so challenging in such still waters. But good handling without doubt.
superb
