I think a lot of people who didn't like that ship are the people who liked Dane X Sersi more. Frankly, I think they are right. Ikaris and Sersi does look good but I wish they showed us more of that first, before showing Sersi is happily with another person. I think it would have made it more sad. But personally I like both ships.

In all honestly, I really do like Sersi and Ikaris, although they had a rich history romance relationship, he fell hard in high emotions. Ikaris was the type who didn't want his feelings to be in the way of their mission in isolation in sollitude. The purpose of his absences was because he didn't want to lie to the other Eternals of the untold truth of who they were killing over the millennium!

Hmm. Seeing this and other great edits really makes me sad that Chloe Zhao didn't edit her own movie. Or at least editors that embraced her vision better. I'm sure there is a much better cut of the film that we just didn't see.

From their filmography they're usually good to great editors, but I still don't think they did Eternals justice. So that makes me wish that Chloe had edited her own movie.
