    This seems way easier to push than the sc888 you rebuilt before it. Very nice machine. No wonder they are popular for commercial carpeting, I'd get my house done in no time with that wide nozzle.

    Gotta hand it to ya Bill, super nice job yoive done with that sanitaire. I havent wanted one before...now I kinda do... All b\c of the darn flow numbers you documented...and the wonderful shine you achieved on that vac! And if want that wide tract model you found too

      Good luck finding one. Unless you were going to purchase one new. 👍

    My new Sanitaire is on a 3 setting, and my carpet's not shaggy enough to make vacuum lines, shorter than your carpet. I guess that would be "high" on older Sanitaires, but it's barely shaggier than the berber it replaced. Maybe they changed to a numbered system (1-6), because so many people thought their carpets wouldn't count as "shag" 😂🤷‍♀️

    @VacLab those sanitaire machines are true deep cleaning machines. i wonder how much cfm it would have with a straight shakeout bag though.

    • @VacLab

      I think someone has already measured that and it's higher, at least initially. The shakeout bag will clog quickly with fine dust, just like a single ply paper bag would.

    Nice one! I have to say I love mine especially for my job because I vacuum lots and lots of carpeting and that airflow comes in handy when all that salt gets in the door ways. Are you going to be refurbishing another one soon? And if you are do you know what model?

    will one of these Sanitaires outperform the best Kirby you have? 145CFM seems impressive and @$289 cheaper than a new Kirby. the SC889A says 145cfm but hepa filtration. not sure how that model compares.

      Dunno and I probably will never have the chance to find out as they in use at my church.

    What's the CFM on this type of machine versus like a Kirby Sentria 2 or Avalir 2?

    • @VacLab
      @VacLab  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Probably around 160, but bag types will affect the CFM somewhat.

    Question. Do you know which sanitaire performs better? The bagless quiet clean ones or the sc899?

    • @VacLab
      @VacLab  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've never tested the bagless models, so I can't say. Usually, the bagged models have more airflow though.

      @brentcho1275 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes so you don’t know which one actually performs better but you think that sc899 pulls more airflow than the quiet clean ones!

    • @VacLab
      @VacLab  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@brentcho1275 I looked on Sanitaire's website and the quiet clean machines have less airflow than the SC899.

    • @brentcho1275
      @brentcho1275 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Does it also have less airflow than the kirby’s

    • @VacLab
      @VacLab  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@brentcho1275 if you make the F&G bag mod, it has more. If you don't, it has less.
