What a magical cruise. Simply stunning scenery and some fabulous photography. Those tea rooms were so gorgeous, what a brilliant place. Really enjoyed this. Thanks guys.
The tea room was lovely. The station was only open for about 10 years before the line was closed down. It went into disrepair and was later restored to its former glory
As a kid from Birmingham I can confirm that Stourport was indeed a place to go for a day trip in the late 50s & 60s. I've also been there via the canal doing the Staffordshire/Worcestershire Ring.
A great Saturday night cruise… love it when your vids hit my page… relaxing, photogenic, and peaceful… keep well , keep safe… cheers from Brisbane Australia 😊👍
What a busy stretch of the waterways you traveled with lots of interesting and colourful things to see. The old fashioned tea room is adorable. Loved seeing the dogs with their little furry toes in the water.
A great Vid as usual, it certainly lifted my spirits seeing all the green and peaceful places you get to go to, especially places like the 'Wellness Garden'.
Absolutely wonderful. I didn't think it possible but your videos just get better and better. Love the little interludes with the butterfly and Fran blowing a "One-O'clock".
Hi guys while you were at he boat we were at the Anderton Boat Lift! What an amazing piece of equipment. We drove by Crick on our way to Garstang for a few days. We also went to the Bournville and Cadbury factory.
Lovely to see you had the weather with you, well most of the time. Thank you for wholesome content this time. I really enjoyed it! Have a wonderful week!
Really enjoyed this journey with you. Beautiful countryside and so relaxing to sit and watch. Fran's gardening always makes me smile. I container garden so appreciate seeing what she is going to grow. Always a pleasure to travel with you.
great audio and pictures (new camera?)... captured the atmosphere of the cut perfectly.. the birdsong echoing in the cuttings. Took me back to the last time I did that stretch.
Hi guy's, love the vids from day 1. Rich, you dont need to day, "here goes Fran between two boats and hope she doesn't hit the bank. My friend, Francis is just as good a captain of that vessel as you are. Much love, Ohio USA
Lovely cruise on your way towards Stourport-on-Severn, with all of its ducklings, a double bridge with an old telegraph pole, etc. Great photo of 10-year old Rich steering the boat! A wonderful slow-mo shot of the white butterfly and of Fran blowing the dandelion fluff!
Beautiful video just love the bridges you go under , looks like the dogs loved playing in the water and how well behaved are they getting their slices of sausage ….. nice place to have coffee and cake ☕️🍰…. In that coffee shop the carrot cake looked yum …..love seeing all the baby ducks ….. safe travels 💛
Hello you two, did you hear the people on Cruising Alba are giving up the lifestyle and it made me think, when is the time you realise its time to weigh anchor and chart your life on another course. Can a water way of life be had until death. Or would ill health make all the difference. Who knows ?, but I hope you two go on forever. Yes, I saw Crick via vlog but that all electric narrowboat was too expensive at a quarter of a million quid. Thats out pricing the layman. What do you think ??. Anyway may the Sun always shine on you both and don't forget your vitamins. See ya xx😂
I guess it depends when death comes, we hope it is along way off yet. We are definitely not convinced by electric boats. We don't have enough sun in this country for solar power, the batteries and the mining that goes on to produce them is definitely not good, and many electric boats use to much diesel to power the generators to charge the batteries. Not good
This video brought back so many good memories of our 17 years on our boat Zenith over there. Wish we could go back! I think we missed a lot! Thank you for sharing>
My husband and I grew up in Stourport, in fact my husband lived on a boat until he was about school age when they moved into one of the waterways houses by the basin, opposite what used to be the Chandlery. Disappointed that you went within a stones throw of where we live in Kidderminster and there was no footage from Stourport, through Kidderminster, and the little villages along the canal, Cookley, Kinver. All lovely places where we would walk the dogs along the canal.
We did say in the video that we didn't film as we needed to get to a booked mooring before Crick but we would be filming on the way back. We often have others things to do and live our own lives so we have never filmed every bit of canal and every village.
@@FloatingOurBoat I realised afterwards, it confused me a bit that the video started with you sat in Stourport, so in my head the journey shown was when you were leaving, when actually it was when you were on thexway. Doesn't take much to confuse me😂🤦♀️. Hopefully there'll be some footage of your journey back from Stourport. 🙂
Hi Fran,Rich,it was awesome seeing you both at the crick boat show this year.your talk was very inspiring.we were in the room next to you both at the hotel.we watch your vlogs and thank you for letting us into your life's.keep up the good work, take care and keep safe ❤
Beautiful cruise and views of Stourport and all along there. Really beautiful. Mondelez (Kraft Foods) back in 2006 won't be handing over any of their profits to the Canal and River Trust, but who knows, they might if you ask them nicely.
Hi guys while you were at he boat we were at the Anderton Boat Lift! What an amazing piece of equipment. We drove by Crick on our way to Garstang for a few days.
What a wonderful video. I enjoyed every minute of it. Thanks so much for posting. Much more up my street than podcasts (even though I wish you well with them!).
I hope that you cut the odd slice in half. I wouldn't like to think anyone had more than the other. Kids eh. Loved the very peaceful trips and beautiful mornings. You have inspired me to make some carrot cake. Made some banana muffins couple of weeks ago and added some of your dandelion honey, very moist.
I enjoyed podcast 21 and of course this one. I had difficulties with my lap top when I watched 21 so I couldn't comment then. It is so interesting how many different locks there are. Some seem so beautiful yet scary to get a boat in them and safely out again. Cheers, see you next time.
Loved that, have been busy all morning on the garden at home and after a walk brought my lunch & coffee and sat at my laptop to thoroughly enjoy traveling along with you both racking up memories of our boating years, one of our favourite areas, Happy days and thank you for allowing me along for the ride XX
Another great video. Wesley loves getting to bark with Jess and Archie. He’s glued to the tv waiting for the next clip to see them again. I hope this finds you both well and life is treating you good. I liked the teacup sign at the old train station/cafe. It’s so true. Good days along with the not so good days. Every day this side of dirt is a good day. Happy sailing and be kind to yourselves. 🌈☮️🥂
I'm with everyone else... so beautifully filmed! Does anyone know that species of butterfly? The larger size and sort of voluptuous wings remind me of a luna moth here in the states... minus its sort up lovely hanging tendrils. Thank you for the beauty.
I noticed the name on the boat you admired at Crick. Lagniappe is a popular word and concept in New Orleans, meaning a little something extra, a gift--much like the hand-painted card that accompanied the beautiful painting of Rich's that I recently purchased. I'm delighted by both! Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed the crick boat show I don’t suppose you noticed how many electric powered boats there were compared to diesel powered? I hope one day all our boats will be electric powered that would make it all so peaceful and quiet.
There were quite a few electric boats and the peace and quiet would be lovely but in reality many of them need to run a diesel generator to power up the batteries as we just don't get enough sun here and some people we know are spending more on diesel on their new electric boat than they were with their diesel engine!!
What the hell is happening with you two..? We all thought you'd drown or you ran off to some far place. You keep going away - then suddenly you re-appear - then you go away,,, Where is the steady, weekly videos we all so love and look forward to..? Are you two planning on quitting the canals and becoming landlubbers..?
Sorry to disappoint you but we have always made videos when we feel we have something worth sharing rather that turning out any old footage week after week. We have been putting up videos every 1-2 weeks for quite some time recently except when we have been busy living our own lives. Maybe you missed the video earlier this year when Rich opened up about his depression and how it affects and is affected by making videos. I think you should take a look, it might help you understand.
Wow! This was a wonderful trip - really showcasing the natural beauty along the canals.
The scene of Fran blowing a Dandelion at 31:08 should be made into a b/w foto - it would be a marvellous picture 🙂
Love from Denmark
❤️
Huge Rich and Fran Fan and judging by the comments I'm not alone. How lovely to have those little gardens along the towpath :)
❤️
What a beautiful cruise! I enjoyed it very much.
Thank you very much!
Such a fabulous video. The cruising looked just perfect. Beautiful sounds and colours. Thank you. You both look so well.
Thank you
Great video with lovely scenery, a proper cruising vlogg. It was great to see you at Crick too 👏
Thank you
Just stunning countryside. Another amazing episode. Looking forward to the next one. Thanks for sharing
Wow, gorgeous! Loved the slow-mo of the butterfly and Fran blowing the dandelion ❤
He's getting very arty farty these days 😁
Hi Fran and rich lovley to see you again. Sue & mike

Lovely to see you too. Hope you had a good trip
The beautiful bird song along the canal lovely.😊 Let's hope it warms up a little bit being a bit chilly lately.
Fabulous video Frank and Rich. Those moorings were stunning. The rain has made everything such a vivid green. Nature at its best.
It is a beautiful time of year
Fantastic clip with the butterfly 🙂

That shot of Jess on the top of the boat brought back memories of Well Deck Diaries.
Well done Rich wonderful photography. Beautifully filmed.
Thank you so much 😀
I also love foxgloves, and some of the shots you captured are stunning. It was lovely cruising along with the two of you. Thank you.
Thank you, Fran & Rich, for another gorgeous video. Beautiful scenery...love the bridges...and some of those locks are amazing, so deep!
The baby ducks🦆! SO much to enjoy in this vid - thank you!
Fab video. Interesting there were so many antique / vintage cars.
What a busy stretch of the waterways you traveled with lots of interesting and colourful things to see. The old fashioned tea room is adorable.
Loved seeing the dogs with their little furry toes in the water.
They both love a paddle, it is difficult to keep them out
That butterfly was amazing. I have never seen anything like it. It looked magical. Thank you for the vlog. Just super beautiful views.
I fran and rich please you enjoy your time at the boat show but nice on the.canal take care all the best for now 😊
Thank you, we had a wonderful time, but it is so good to be back on the peace and quiet of the canal
Hi Rich & Fran, this vlog must be one of the best vlogs you've done so far, absolutely stunning. Stay safe and look forward to the next one 👍
Thanks 👍
You could create a calendar with pictures from your travels and screen captures from videos.
Yay! I love watching you guys…
A great Vid as usual, it certainly lifted my spirits seeing all the green and peaceful places you get to go to, especially places like the 'Wellness Garden'.
Looks lovely!
I liked the one with all the cabinets and the wood work going around the porthole.
Always a good way to start the morning.
Absolutely beautiful, totally transfixed from beginning to end.😁
Thanks so much 😊

Thank you too!
Lovely video, thank you.
Thank you too!
I love those trellises, and the Laura Maisie bucket @ 28:04.
Thank you. That reminds me, the bucket needs a polish
Beautiful video and I love hearing the birds.
Loved the slo-mo filming of the butterfly❤
And listening to all the birdsong. Thanks for the lovely video
Glad you enjoyed it

Really enjoyed this journey with you. Beautiful countryside and so relaxing to sit and watch. Fran's gardening always makes me smile. I container garden so appreciate seeing what she is going to grow. Always a pleasure to travel with you.

I hope Jess got the extra slice! And I really enjoyed the slowmo sequences, especially that butterfly!!
I think I may have shared it between them as I couldn't possibly choose
I 'joined' up today, it is a pleasure to do so. I keep hoping I'll catch one of Fran's scarves before they're sold out. Have a good week 😊
Hopefully you will catch one, we do send a notification out as soon as we update the shop
Another excellent episode Fran and Rich!
All I can say about this vlog is Brill,Youve done a few,but this one will take alot of beating
great audio and pictures (new camera?)... captured the atmosphere of the cut perfectly.. the birdsong echoing in the cuttings. Took me back to the last time I did that stretch.

Beautiful video thank you both xx
Your increased speed was due to the deeper section of the canal. Thanks for taking us along.
Great vlog. I have got family that live at Greensforge. It such a lovely bit of the canal.
We are loving this whole stretch

So lovely to see Fran spinning out on the boat. I could watch that all day.
I love doing it, it is so relaxing
That bread pudding! Proper portion ❤

They are both water hounds. Archie loves to swim but Jess usually just paddles. Always well behaved when there is a sausage about
And Stourporr is still a destination for Brummies in the summer.
