      The tea room was lovely. The station was only open for about 10 years before the line was closed down. It went into disrepair and was later restored to its former glory

    My husband and I grew up in Stourport, in fact my husband lived on a boat until he was about school age when they moved into one of the waterways houses by the basin, opposite what used to be the Chandlery. Disappointed that you went within a stones throw of where we live in Kidderminster and there was no footage from Stourport, through Kidderminster, and the little villages along the canal, Cookley, Kinver. All lovely places where we would walk the dogs along the canal.

    • @FloatingOurBoat
      @FloatingOurBoat  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      We did say in the video that we didn't film as we needed to get to a booked mooring before Crick but we would be filming on the way back. We often have others things to do and live our own lives so we have never filmed every bit of canal and every village.

      @@FloatingOurBoat I realised afterwards, it confused me a bit that the video started with you sat in Stourport, so in my head the journey shown was when you were leaving, when actually it was when you were on thexway. Hello you two, did you hear the people on Cruising Alba are giving up the lifestyle and it made me think, when is the time you realise its time to weigh anchor and chart your life on another course. Can a water way of life be had until death. Or would ill health make all the difference. Who knows ?, but I hope you two go on forever. Yes, I saw Crick via vlog but that all electric narrowboat was too expensive at a quarter of a million quid. Thats out pricing the layman. What do you think ??. Anyway may the Sun always shine on you both and don't forget your vitamins. See ya xx😂

    • @FloatingOurBoat
      @FloatingOurBoat  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I guess it depends when death comes, we hope it is along way off yet. We are definitely not convinced by electric boats. We don't have enough sun in this country for solar power, the batteries and the mining that goes on to produce them is definitely not good, and many electric boats use to much diesel to power the generators to charge the batteries. Not good

      There were quite a few electric boats and the peace and quiet would be lovely but in reality many of them need to run a diesel generator to power up the batteries as we just don't get enough sun here and some people we know are spending more on diesel on their new electric boat than they were with their diesel engine!!

      Sorry to disappoint you but we have always made videos when we feel we have something worth sharing rather that turning out any old footage week after week. We have been putting up videos every 1-2 weeks for quite some time recently except when we have been busy living our own lives. Maybe you missed the video earlier this year when Rich opened up about his depression and how it affects and is affected by making videos. I think you should take a look, it might help you understand.

    Sarcasm does not become you. CRT have to do ever more work with ever less money thanks to the government slashing funding. As for Mondelez, you have no chance of getting a red cent out of them, but you Brits were happy to sell out to them just like you are now selling your postal services. Britain is a shabby and miserable hollowed out shell compared to a few decades ago.
