An excellent series of films about a sailing inflatable kayak. Thank you for the smart and detailed content. It's exactly what I was looking for and wanted to understand before starting my own project to turn my inflatable canoe into a sailboat. Thank you for your work and wisdom!
Hi, there's no way to add a center board or keel as it's an Inflatable. I noticed that a wider leeboard being used = slower speeds. I'm building a slim/narrow set of leeboards if it goes faster this summer 👍🏼
@@sitb- I sail on an inflatable kayak with two skegs. Even without leeboards it holds its course well. I don't have a rudder. Easily controlled with oars. Skegs are a very important element. I tried without them. A kayak under sail is very unstable. Kayak is Aquamarina VT K2,
@@alexbondarev8986 oh yeah, I've thought of trying just skegs, less gear to carry and would probably work like your project. The skegs gives the same effect as the leeboards, lateral force for forward sailing. I'll give it a go on the next sail out! It's starting to warm up here in Spain, I'm just waiting for favorable winds 😁

You're most welcome! Sail hard! 💪🏼💪🏼😁
Looks like so much fun ❤
it was a great run! I've always loved flatwater sailing or kayaking, hardly any bops and bumps like driving offroad 😂
👍👍👍 Супер.
good filming, much improvement, cheers
Thank you! I'm working on new leeboards for better performance 😁
It seems not going directly is it because keel doesnt enough?
