You scan the barcode of your items into the app, and when you're done, check out and pay in the app. When you get to the door, they verify that you have the same amount of items and that you have paid and you leave without ever getting into a line. And your membership card, or should I say a membership card 😏, is already downloaded into the app, so that is not checked coming in the store or going out.

@@nadiasharnelle we have both, and honestly the scan and go is my favorite, plus the order and pickup, they charge $4 for the service but right now we have a new puppy so to be able to pick a time slot, drive and let them know you're there, it's really convenient for me. I only get a handful of things from Costco now and if Sam's would carry those items, we definitely would not have both memberships.

Man. Sam's is waaaaay better than Costco and BJ's. They have the scan and go option on the app so I can ring myself up on my phone and don't have to wait in line. Also my membership gives me Sam's cash. I can shop at stores other than Sam's and get a store credit for Sam's. I went in the other day and was able to get $58 in free groceries. And the prepared food and bakery is 10x better than every where else
Listen!!! Ain't it the truth?!?! I discovered them when I was in a pinch and ran in for a rotisserie chicken and some bagged salad. It was like "would you like to use your $$ credit?" I canceled my transaction, went and got another chicken, some croissants from the bakery, and some frozen broccoli. I spent like $32, ate for the week, & had money left. I'm telling you, SAM'S is it!

Sam's is always been the more practical place. I go to Costco when I'm looking for book items that are healthier. More choices that are organic and have ingredients where you recognize everything on the label. Nothing artificial. I messed up and got Costco. I miss Sam's too. I will say Costco has better meat. But they have more food and options at Sam's for my family. Never again will I get Costco.

@@nadiasharnelle we have both, and honestly the scan and go is my favorite, plus the order and pickup, they charge $4 for the service but right now we have a new puppy so to be able to pick a time slot, drive and let them know you're there, it's really convenient for me. I only get a handful of things from Costco now and if Sam's would carry those items, we definitely would not have both memberships.

Lol I also have both memberships and the only reason I have Costco is that they are 5 min away from me. I prefer Sam's all day, Costco drives me crazy with some of their dumb store policies like having to buy two packs of their 6 pack muffins.. Like package them all together, that shit pissed me off.. Oh and their muffins aren't better than Sam's
Man. Sam's is waaaaay better than Costco and BJ's. They have the scan and go option on the app so I can ring myself up on my phone and don't have to wait in line. Also my membership gives me Sam's cash. I can shop at stores other than Sam's and get a store credit for Sam's. I went in the other day and was able to get $58 in free groceries. And the prepared food and bakery is 10x better than every where else

Listen!!! Ain't it the truth?!?! I discovered them when I was in a pinch and ran in for a rotisserie chicken and some bagged salad. It was like "would you like to use your $$ credit?" I canceled my transaction, went and got another chicken, some croissants from the bakery, and some frozen broccoli. I spent like $32, ate for the week, & had money left. I'm telling you, SAM'S is it!

Sam's is always been the more practical place. I go to Costco when I'm looking for book items that are healthier. More choices that are organic and have ingredients where you recognize everything on the label. Nothing artificial. If you're trying to be practical and frankly get items that more people like, Sam's place to go.

@@geocyo8835 yes. When you go into a Sam's club and you have their app, you scan your items, it totals your items, and click pay. After it goes through, you'll get a q code that they will scan at the door because it'll pull up your receipt for them to see and you're out.
I messed up and got Costco. I miss Sam's too. I will say Costco has better meat. But they have more food and options at Sam's for my family. Never again will I get Costco.
@@hi7660 yes. There are pros and cons to both. I live in Washington State so they no longer have a Sam's club here but if I was back in California, I would have never left Sam's. I prefer them overall.

I have both membership but Sam's definitely have more options. One thing to remember though not all Sams are created equal! Costco stores are pretty consistent
