I think the issue is that it's basically full price. Other examples of remasters, and decent ones at that, like metroid prime, aren't. It seems low effort for the price.
It works exactly the same as on the 3DS. Or if you prefer, just like on the Wii, except you don't need to shake the controller to roll. You can do it with a button.
@AnormaIPerson3121 yes I have. I haven't played the HD version but from looking at the gameplay it looks better, super fresh, more colorful. Water, and some other objects look noticably better etc.
@Deckenkrabbler Tbf its was reasonable to expect, a lot of Wii U games got ports on Switch, but people wanting both TP and WW together is just a fever dream. Well thats sure now we're getting none of those two on Switch now.
What I want to know is how is the input lag compared to Tropical Freeze? That game had some noticeable input lag, but I'm guessing they will claim it is based on the gameplay design. If it feels the same as that; then I will pass as I rather have it more snappy and on par with the SNES input response.
I would say that there is no input lag, but I have played countless hours on Tropical Freeze, both on Wii U and Switch, and I don't consider it to have input lag either.
@enriquepinero707 I think you're probably referring to how the game's physics and movement feel compared to the SNES games, because yes, they are very different from how the SNES games handled the physics.
I'm definitely not paying $60 all over again. I still have my DKCR on my Wii and looks and plays great! The only thing I see great about the HD version is they added the Nintendo 3DS stages which is great in my opinion. Metroid prime remastered is $40 and looks better than DKCR. But Nintendo still charges $60 for DKCR. Think about this 🤔 Zelda skyward sword is a Wii game, Mario kart 8, super Mario bros deluxe, Donkey Kong tropical freeze are all Wii U games and are ported over to the switch and Nintendo still charged everyone $60 and all those games I just mentioned are old. All those games are over 10 years old and Nintendo still sold them for $60. Remember when Nintendo GameCube games, Wii and Wii U games dropped to $20? Nintendo switch games doesn't drop to $20, it stays at $60 after eight years.
And the prices likely still won't drop even after the switch 2 is released. Shitty times we're living in. Just like how 3ds consoles only went up in price after being discontinued. When has that ever happened before in the history of gaming? Makes me sick. You can't even get a nice 3ds without spending an arm & leg.
Just like I thought.. it's really not as bad as people claim it to be. Haha oh these stupid internet warriors that make a big fuss over absolutely nothing. I can't help but feel bad for them... almost.
@@brijor6ff7 It's not just TH-camrs; NintendoLife, a gaming website, was dissing the game quite a bit too. But yeah, like you said - negativity brings in the views and clicks unfortunately.
I don't think they hate him, Retro Studios just has the DKC franchise now, in the same way Next Level has Luigi's Mansion. But they've been stuck on Prime 4, so they haven't been able to make another DKC, and the initial reception to Tropical Freeze doesn't help since everyone was mad it wasn't Prime 4 back in the day. Plus, despite the scummy nature of the DKC ports on Switch, unlike several other franchises on the system, every DKC game is preserved on it. They don't hate DK whatsoever
You don't have to, it's mainly for anyone who missed the game the first time around or anyone who wants a "definitive edition", since this has the 3DS exclusive content but also has the control schemes of both previous versions
Is there anyone else who doesn't play these things on an emulator with xxx better graphics? Well, a regular $100 Poco F3 can handle this in the Wii version at max settings.
@@svenmandelkorn3238 I only played this on 3DS and never beat it. Good thing I got a $100 gift card for Christmas so I can go pick this up for free. Haha! I will wait a bit though bc I'm still playing through Brothership.
@ The Wii version was a mix between motion and traditional controls, the Switch version has 100% traditional controls just like Tropical Freeze. Trust me that's a good thing!

Bro! Not even a funky mode??? 0 out a 10
Im glad the boss cutscenes were fixed!, it ran at 30 fps on the first ttailers
it runs at 30 when donkey and diddy appear.
@PixelacosGameplaysTV yeah, i played the boss and the cutscene slowed down, but very little frames
This looks fantastic! Haven't played one of these since Tropical Freeze.
IT DONKEY KONG ON THE NINTENDO SWITCH! AH! AH! AH!

Why some People Mad about the Game again Released?
But see it that way..
Donkey Kong has the Big Honar to be the Last Big Game for the Switch 1 🎉🎉
But both Prime 4 & Legends ZA are still yet to release, and both seem to be bigger games than country returns
I think the issue is that it's basically full price. Other examples of remasters, and decent ones at that, like metroid prime, aren't. It seems low effort for the price.
40:30 Why is the fps dropping?
bad optimization
Is the gameplay improved at all ? The way he moves, gameplay feeling etc ?

It looks exactly the same as the wii version
@AnormaIPerson3121 No it doesn't ! Go compare and come back.

This was a Wii game not Wii u we got Wii ports to this game Kirby return to Dreamland deluxe and maybe more one day@@miserablepileofsecrets
They're releasing it a third time because the third market change.
Probably will lead to switch 2 games being $70. I am glad mario vs donkey kong was only $50 and 2nd player added so much

@@PixelacosGameplaysTV Input lag may not be the right term. The controls are just simply not as responsive as the SNES games.

does zl and zr also work for grab in this port.
Yes
What resolution is it handheld
Tropical Freeze was oddly 1080p docked but 648p handheld

No option for d-pad movement or did i miss it?
you can use d-pad or left stick in every moment.
@PixelacosGameplaysTV nice, weird they have it labeled only as the menu or whatever it was.

Las versiones para wii y 3ds también iban a 60fps o esta es la única versión en tener esa velocidad de fotogramas?
La de wii ya iba a 60 fps totalmente estables. La de 3ds iba a 30.

What is the problem? No need to wish - download and play
If you really wanted to play them you'd buy them on the switch.
Water and lava looks bad, devs should improve it.
I am Disappointed that my beloved Dixie Kong doesn't appear in this version. I imagine a DLC featuring her as the the protagonist

So much lag, fix your capture card
It's an internet issue not a capture card issue.
Please check your PC. The video is perfectly captured at 60 fps. Maybe your PC is not capable of playing 4k videos. Try choosing the 1080p option.
Buttery smooth 60fps on my laptop. 60Hz screen. No dropped frames whatsoever, and I have an eye for these things. Check your rig, mate.
