    Wow Johanne, you're really good at this! Naturally I can't speak on behalf of a non-native speaker, but it is a huge benefit that your English is so good, too. I know that is not the case for most Norwegians, even those who teach Norwegian in various places. It was also fun seeing your animations :) Make me miss looking over at your notes during class, though! XO

      Thank you so much 😄🤓I hope we will get at least a few more chances of being in class again (I'm 90% sure lectures gave me 90% of my drawing abilities)✏️✏️

    You can also attach the letter 'a' instead of 'ene' at the end of a neuter noun on the definite plural declension. I do this in bokmål myself, as I don't think it is grammatically incorrect. Except for Nynorsk where you must have an 'a' to it.

    I really enjoy your videos and they have been helping me a lot. I live in the US, and there is no one around me that speaks norwegian to help me practice. Do you ever help people practice over zoom?

    I am norwegian, why is bok female? what are the rules for this?
    Also we norwegians, never use ei, who use that now adays? ??

    • @NorwegianJoVideos
      @NorwegianJoVideos  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There are (to my knowledge) no set rules for which words belong to which gender.
      You say people do not use "ei" nowadays...?
      I use ei all the time - are you telling me you say "boken" and not "boka" in daily speech?
      Some people may prefer to use the article "en" instead of "ei" for feminine nouns, but they still apply the feminine ending "-a" in the definite form (boka, stua, lampa, gata). In my experience, this is how most people speak.
      A notable exception is the Bergen dialect, which systematically does not use hunkjønn.
