The third part is beautiful in contact with Sweden and Norway. The section from Kil to Kongsvinger is very wooded... when you enter Norway the journey to Lillestrom is spectacular. We hope in the future we can do the line to Elverum, the one to Trondheim, the one to Bergen and the one to Stavanger. I have seen the beautiful FLYTOGETs running on the Gandermoen Line but I know they run everywhere now. Beautiful routes and beautiful environment even on narrow gorges and landscapes at sunset. The Kongsvinger Lillestrom route at sunset is something magical. And then you arrive at the CentralStasjon in Oslo!!!!!!!!!
@wladislaw79 I want to film all of them. I believe they are very beautiful. On this journey to Sweden I had a chance to see the midnight sun for the first time in my life. A wonderful experience.
@wladislaw79 Expensive, yes. I just went to Oslo in Norway, did quite a bit of Sweden. It was a very nice experience. Long days are perfect for filming, but, there are so many mosquitos...will have to do it again in winter.
WOnderful trip! Now that you are in Oslo. Should really do the full run Bergen line from Oslo to Bergen over Finse. Its amazing especially in winter when insane snowstorms are going!
Have a look at the map, Narvik is isolated from all other parts of the Norwegian railways. The Ofotenbane as it is called in Norway is the last part of the Swedish "Malmbanan" that takes iron ore from the Swedish mines around Kiruna and Gällivare across the mountains to the year around ice free harbor in Narvik. Conclusion, it is the only way for rail freights to Narvik from Oslo.
they really love their single tracks up north... kinda crazy that oslo has such a huge central station, with seemingly almost no connecting infrastructure oO

Well, distances are pretty large and density is very low so double-track might not be justified - there is a vision of a new line between Arvika and Lillestrom that would be more high-speed and cut journey time by more than half, but also maybe a single-track one could be enough to begin with. Though You can see in Sweden operation at 180-200km/h also on the single track lines (Botniabanan in the north is actually made for 250km/h, though fastest trains operating are Reginas that can hit 200km/h).
Ma come fai a fare tutti sti video in cabina ? Hai un permesso speciale per entrare in cabina di guida o sei un macchinista che chiedi al collega se puoi registrare un video ?
The sound is definitely not in synch with the video, example at 2h07 when the train is stoppped in the Romerike Tunnel, and you can hear the sound of the train going at high !

That cargo train this train met in Högboda, was one of the Artic Rail Express trains between Oslo and Narvik. Norwegian cargo but routed via Sweden.

The Loco on 1:09 h in Kongsvinger is an Former DSB Class MZ,not Di 4.The Di 4 works only on Nordlandsbahn Trondheim-Bodø.
That was a pretty long sunset; it almost seemed to go into reverse at one point!

Train arrives to Lillestrom at 23:15 (You can see the clock on the platform at 1:58:14) still to a beautiful sunset.
