The quickstrike was so badly implemented here .... The bomb was design for shallow water only , once dropped by a B52 or an aircraft the fins are deployed and glide to the desired location , once it reaches the desired location the bomb is dropped by the glider and would sit motionless into the shallow bottom , a sensor is then activated by salt water levels sensors , when a unsuspecting ship passed above the bomb , it would sense propeller noise and detonates below the ships keel making the unsuspected ship torn in half ...
