Loved the shot of it stopping for fuel - ".. 220 gallons (approx 1000 litres) of Premium leaded - and 4 kitkats please!".

That's cool to see an nice Centurion tumbling on road! How many km it did? I was surprised to see that the Centurion was fitted with rubber padded tracks, is a characteristics of the Austrian Centurions?

Probably because of the damage the older steel track could wreak! I have seen the edge of the tracks flick up 30 yards of kerb stones in Germany through driver error. They were barred from some German villages in the 70’s because they were so hard on the road surface while the padded tracked vehicles were allowed through..

No, all British Army Cent's were fitted with "Choccy Bloc" tracks in the early 80's. Several track links seen here are in a state of serious disrepair and quite dangerous to other road users as once the bond between the rubber and metal elements (of the links) become too stressed through age and mileage, then heavy chunks of rubber can fly off without warning.

@@siras2 I didn't know that also the British Army Centurions were fitted with the "Choccy Blocks" back in the eighties but should have guessed it. I have seen the Swedish Centurion various times during summer manoeuvres but they were all fitted with metal tracks! Thanks for the info 👍!
