For the benefit of non-Japanese speakers (like myself) I googled the guest Karen Anzai introduced at about 7:20. Following is, in part, what Wikipedia told me: "Kalen Anzai (安斉かれん, Anzai Karen, born 15 August 1999) is a Japanese pop singer, songwriter, actress and musician. She is from Fujisawa City, Kanagawa Prefecture. Her record company and management is avex trax.[1]" A very attractive young lady and it seems highly respected by the KT band.

They may not match the precision of the other bands, but they make up for it with their beauty, smiles, talent and especially in music choice, all of which, when put together, they put forth a contagious fun and high spirited performance going down the street! They win the trophy as far as i am concerned!
By "other bands" I guess you mean those bands wearing toy soldier type uniforms, usually with feathers in their hats, playing boring military music and marching rigidly and stiffly as if they had broom handles shoved up their southern orifices? Well sure, KT may not match their precision nor do they try to But for sheer entertainment value and visual enjoyment, which band would you prefer to watch? I think KT won the Beppu Marching Carnival gold three years running, a feat never before accomplished even in their illustrious history. And the recently graduated 120th class had the honor of competing in all three of these performances. I am sure the input of marching coach Mentapu, a KT alumni and former drummer, played a very big role.

比較的宝塚に近いところに住んでいる子達ですから、意思を持って、無報酬で人々を楽しませ、高校３年で終るこちらを選んでいるんですよね。

観客は早く素晴らしい演奏を聴きたいのに、別府市長の挨拶が長すぎて生徒達に気の毒、主役は市長さんじゃあ ありませんよ！それにしても何回きいても素晴らしい演奏です、元気がでてきます😅

私もその場にいたけど、市長の話しは長くもないし安斉かれんとのやり取りも含め生徒も観客も聞き入っていたよ。

これぐらいのスペースがあると橘のパフォーマンスが映えるよね。
すごく狭くて観客との距離が近いところでやってるパレードとかあるけど、窮屈そうだそ生徒の安全が確保しきらないじゃないかとヒヤヒヤする。
地元でもあまり見れないです。全国ひっぱりだこですね。

可愛さ重視で、クラッシックばかりで、達らしい迫力無く、おぉ～って感じがなくなった
