Hi, is there a way you can show how to make popped rice without using oil. I am unsure where we can get black sand around here. But, is there way you can burn salt to black and make popped rice? I have been graving to eat fresh popped rice.

Honestly, I want to try this way as it seems to be pretty easy. If you could get back to me ASAP then it would be great. As I can't wait to try this in my kitchen! Thank you so much :)

Two words for you - processed food! Some of the cereals you mention - corn, rice crispy etc are pre-sugared. Sugar, Salt and Fat are killers. Watch The Men Who Made Us Fat 3 part movie online. You can probably substitute oil with ghee (clarified butter) as that is actually good for lowering blood pressure (I ain't no doctor do your own research). How many times did you say sugar in the video? and salt? I wonder if Kokila ben makes corn chivda the same way around here. :-)
