I'd love to know what you think of the Howling Badlands so far and what your tips are for making campaign regions that feel distinct to any other areas of your world are?

I remember a talk Mark Rosewater gave at GDC, about design advice from 20+ years of being lead designer for MTG, where he said “restriction breeds creativity” and that always stuck with me.
When I want to make some lore about my world a bit more interesting I often ask questions like “What is making it like this? What is stopping this from being any other way?” or I start by introducing a big limit to something such as “Elves are an endangered species, making up only 1% of the global races” and work both forwards and backwards from there.
