Great video. I called Samsung and they told me that, because the temperature error was outside the digital adjustment, there was no repair & I needed to replace the stove. $26 and less than an hour later, and it’s working properly again.

Hello, Thank you for your very easy to follow video. I noticed my oven temperature setting and the actual internal temperature are not the same after testing with 2 oven thermometers. I was wondering if the oven needs to be calibrated after changing the temperature sensor?

THANKS! The rear panel was a bit puzzling at first. I needed to change the oven temp sensor...Thank god I have a gas range and don't have to remove any kind of broiler element...Its always satisfying to fix things yourself.

@@moomoopuppy508 Just remember to also plug it in. If that doesn't work, you may have to replace the control board.

Scott, your videos are awesome. Thank you! Any suggestions if replacing the thermostat doesn't work? Our range works but not the oven, on any setting.

my Samsung oven model # NX58H5600SS/AA has not been heating to the correct temps, I went through the re calibration steps and it seems to be ok but when the set temp beep goes off it's still not to the correct temperature base on the gauge I'm using inside the oven. Food still is not cooking right so finding this video I ordered the thermistor from your link but I'm curious now that after I change it out do I need to reset the calibration again or how do I reset the calibration back to factory settings? Thanks for you posting this video

It would be good to check the temp. Again with your analog thermometer.

Helpful. But my oven is fine but the heat plates on top surface are only on top heat mode. They heat on highest no matter where you move the know. Any help with this

Our Samsung oven has two bake settings, and it runs on Propane. All of a sudden about 2 mths ago, the convection 'bake' setting wouldn't hold the set temperature. If I set it to 400, then the oven only reached to maybe 300 degrees or would fall to 225. On the other 'bake' setting, it seems to work fine. So, we've been simply using the other bake setting (the one that isn't convection). We are wondering if it's a temperature sensor with just the convection bake setting or if it's the fan or heating element on the Convection setting. How do we figure this out? Thanks

I’ve owned two Samsung convection ovens, and while they perform pretty good, they both had the same issue… when setting a temperature, the oven will start to heat up and after about 10-12 minutes it will beep and indicate that the oven is at 350 degrees, as an example. But an analog thermometer placed in the center of the oven (you know, where the rack of food will actually be) is reading like 40 degrees cooler than the set temp. If I wait for 10 more minutes the rack thermometer will actually get to the set temp. So it seems like the temp sensor probe in the back of the oven senses that it’s at 350 degrees and the oven will beep to tell me it’s preheated, but the actual full oven isn’t heated up yet.
Again, if I wait 10 more minutes, it eventually does heat up. I just don’t understand why my fancy Samsung ovens aren’t sophisticated enough to realize that the oven isn’t actually pre-heated and ready. It’s just a quirk to the ovens that left me rather unimpressed with their performance.
Keep in mind that, before I realized this problem, I was putting food in right when the beep went off. It’s pretty common to lose a fair amount of oven temp each time when opening the oven.
So let’s say I set the oven to 350 degrees, and it beeps - making me believe the oven is actually preheated to 350 (in reality it’s more like 310), then I open the oven and add the food and lose another 10-15 degrees just by opening it up. So I put my food in and the oven is around 300 degrees, it’ll take like 10-15 minutes just to recover and get to the actual 350 degrees it’s supposed to be cooking at. If you’re cooking something for only 20-30 minutes it will be hardly cooked at all when you open the oven on that set timer.
Anyways, now that I realized that the oven is lying, and it’s not actually at temp when it beeps, I realized I just need to preheat the oven for a longer time every time I cook stuff. And I’m getting much better results. I just feel disappointed in the performance of the oven because you can’t depend on it based on it’s indicated temp. It’s a high dollar oven and I would have expected more for the price. Keep in mind that I’ve used two different Samsung ovens with the same results. It’s not like the temp sensors were faulty, it just seems like the oven isn’t recognizing that the sensor being at a specific temp doesn’t correlate with the full oven being up to temp

Is the part number for the sensor the same for all Samsung ovens? Our model number is: NE59M4310SS.
