Em's internal rhyming nowadays is just phenomenal. Amazing wordplay. People don't realize but with his new songs he keeps multiple rhyme schemes throughout the verses. Its laughable, really. If he still wrote about raping and killing his wife, he STILL would have been given shit for not "developing". He's 42 god damn it, and I fucking love how he has matured. His songs are still real and honest, but its raw. Brutaly so. It's not about popping pills anymore, but about him being afraid(yes pun intended) and tired. I might agree that he doesnt excel in making typical Slim Shady songs like he used to, but some of his Eminem/deep and meaningfull songs are masterpieces - and without a doubt SOO much better than what he used to write.

I've been listening to Eminem for years, honestly i thought the Recovery album wasn't good at all really. I loved his first 3 albums, those are classics to me. You can see he's getting older in the way he raps, it's a little different not bad but different. He can still spit better than majority of the new faces in rap today. I wish some good rappers came together and did an album together like Eminem, Kendrick, Lupe, Mos Def, Logic etc. Just hope Em never fucking ever does a song with Rich Homie Quan, French Montana, or Young Thug.

I feel like Eminem can't win with his fans. When he came back his fans wanted a dark album, similar to his older stuff. We then got 'Relapse. It was a dark and funny album which was similar to his older stuff, the difference is he did a few things to change it up and make it new. People didn't like how dark it was and A LOT of people (at the time) hated the accent. In my opinion it was his best album, but a lot of rap fans hated/disliked it.
Then people wanted a different Eminem. An Eminem that wasn't just rapping about the 'same old things. They wanted him to rap about struggles and what it was like being away and not 'rapping about meaningless things. But most importantly they wanted a little lighter Eminem, so we then get Recovery. A good Eminem album (in my opinion) with good singles and good songs on the album, and at the time he spitting good freestlyes. The album had a lot of success, but Eminem fans didn't like the lighter style. All through that time period all's you could find on his TH-cam channel were fans saying that they wanted the old Eminem back, even though we got It with Relapse. That wasn't good enough, fans wanted another album to be like the MMLP & SSLP.
We then get the MMLP 2. It had a similar style to the MMLP but other things in the album to keep it fresh and new. (modern) In all the album seems to be taken really well w/ a lot of Eminem and Rap fans, but their is still the large number of people that want a darker style (for some reason now they want it like the SSLP and Relapse) and not rapping over rock beats. Fans didn't want Eminem 'bitching about his past, or rapping about struggles. They just wanted a mean, funny, fucked up Eminem.
Now we have ShadyXV. From what I heard from this song, the great cypher, and the SlaughterHouse single It pretty much seems like that's what you're getting. But I've been seeing people in the comments saying 'there's no meaning, rapping too fast, they want the Eminem that rapped like he did with Not Afraid and Mocking bird.
I feel bad for him, It seems like when he give fans what they WANTED at the time a large amount want something else, and when he makes It we want something else. I understand If you don't like this or whatever song, but It just seems like Eminem can't win with a lot of fans. Relapse and Recovery (Relapse especially) were hated when they came out from a lot of Eminem fans, but If you take a look back now there are a lot of fans saying that they're great. They're loved albums now and I'm not sure why they weren't from the start, they haven't changed. I still think Eminem is a great rapper. Is every song he puts out great? No. Does he beat people on Every song? No. Is he the best? I don't think anyone is. I just think It's a shame how we're going to get a good album from Eminem, and a lot of people are going to dislike it very dumb reasons. I respect you If you dislike or like the album with logic. SORRY FOR THE LONG MESSAGE NEED TO LET MY OPINION OUT.

1. Proof, Em's best friend who he molded his flow from, died. If you listen carefully, Em now sounds like a fast Royce
2. Em was barely sober in his prime, now that he's sober, he literally had to re-learn everything
3. No artist has ever stayed stagnant, you can only be angry and silly for so long
4. Trying to recreating old shit and making it work is nearly impossible
