100 percent a huge lie. People often say or believe whites weren't in the LH. Yes they were especially tons of Polish and Irish in the projects. All went to Schneider Elementary School. My brother in law is mixed Polish and Irish and used to take me to Hamlin Park swimming pool in 88. I recall there was alot of Polish, I'm talking off the boat Polish that would hang out at Hamlin Park. Look up the boxing gym and see a ton of Polish and Irish fighters came out of that gym that were neighborhood guys. The boys and girls club actually started a foreign language program for different types of languages on Thursday nights at 8pm for all types. I recall my bro in law helping and being paid $15 bucks for mopping, throwing out garbage, cleaning around. It was from 8 to 930pm. Name of it was Cotter Boys & Girls Club. So yeah definitely NOT the only polish family. I also write this with respect no disrespect in case. Lathrop Homes had all types of color in it and wish people knew it as a place where all types of races mixed together
We were Macative 4s in Rockford in the late 80s who were blessed from 43rd n Cicero.. We use to be tight with the Kings in Rockford and hung out with them in Diversey n Hoyne.
We used to go out campaigning and have our shid broke off to the left and the first mf to throw up the five we'd get right on his azz . I was wit folks from off the North Pole one night on T/W Thorndale and Winthrop and a flake came up there talking crazy and folks served his azz. That ninja Scony I still got plenty much love fo!
We were the only polish family in that neighborhood. We had Good times there.
