It seems people complain/talk about the chassis bending on “medium-heavy” jumping but then you see guys sending the 30’ out to a flat landing and 10’ -30’ high. That seems more than what it was designed to be doing at stock
I was between Sledge and E-REVO. I went ER. Reasons in no order: chassis bend, scraped up chassis, oring issue, annoyance of the front bumper, passion of others for their ER, ER tried and true.
The new batches come with O-rings mine came with some. Also yes I always landed my jumps but I jump very high and big, the chassis bowed where the stock motor mount is and I stripped my spur. M2c arriving today then I gotta grab some gears!
I've had to change my diffs but it's only after about 15-20 batteries they're pretty much worn that's only reason I put the upgraded disks in it but they held up pretty good for the period I think especially the power
I totally agree! I love the Sledge, but its a M2C and Basher Queen and Max 6 Sledge! Nothing really left of the stock sledge...lol... But once that's all done, its a Beast!
On the one I’m building I went with the Max8 G2 setup and I want it to be faster than stock but not to the point I’m having issues,what gears would you recommend ?
Eh.. it was advertised as being superior to the Arrma Kraton yet seems to have MORE detrimental issues. Motor mount, Drive cups, Diffs, Chassis. The ESC is glitchy & servo is meant for a crawler sub .20 speed. The Kraton RTR has most of those issues except the motor mount is perfect. Oh and its $200+ cheaper giving you room to fix those issues. The Maxx seems to be the better Traxxas in my opinion.
Agreed Traxxas is little easier to keep clean especially the Maxx better for harsh environments but arrma for the win when comes to pure performance and value for level of performance.

G2 is perfect or max 6 ,
My esc died. It did hit pretty hard but Traxxas is replacing it so i can't complain about it. However it will be replaced eventually.

Every video is the same on this sledge you shouldn’t have to change stuff out the box for the price of it
