Let's not kid ourselves... most of us start getting serious about our personal finances "late" in life, so in that case, the only option left for us is to focus, concentrate our resources and take drastic action.

@@thomasthorne4010 Some people, actually, I'd say the vast majority of people live paycheck to paycheck, they know they should be saving and investing but most don't. Most of them don't really need any excuse, they just say that it's their money so they do whatever they want with it. In my case I did miss a lot of valuable information going quite a few years back in the sense that if I'd start investing back when I was 18, I'd be set for life today, but that's not my case, I always assumed that the way to get rich was by simply saving cash and putting it away in a savings account, which I did, but ended up wasting it rather than investing it. Back on my feet now. I agree with Tony when he says that most people value more immediate gratification over delayed ans greater rewards. Many people spend everything they earn the same way many people carry on smoking 'till they die, not because of a lack of information but because they simply refuse to change their bad habits. @Thaw Kwa The earlier you start the better off you will be. I am compounding an investment now, daily! Einstein said, "Compound interest is the 8th wonder if the world". 🌎
I am compounding XRP. I started in 2020 at 18c a coin. I hope one day its worth more so that I double compound from price moves and staking.... staking crypto is my compounding plan. If it works then Bora lives.
I started when I was 19 years old an I just turn 29 not making alot of money one of the years I put in almost 12k in a year but not from investments I have 120k as of right now I started early just like some of these videos an Dave Ramsey talks about I'm close to being a unicorn starting with nothing an not making alot of money
All after 7min, 20years worth of cash is worth more than 20years of cash 20years later. Or if you meant 40years worth of investing is worth more than 20years of investing later than those early extra 20 years. I Agree if everything stays the same

Hey Kryz, WOW, thank you SO much. I really appreciate your helping me on this and giving me some starting points. With kind help like yours, I'm sure I will and the same to you.
Hey @notgivingmyrealname William started earlier, deposited for 20 years, and all the remaining time his earnings compounded, where as the second person started 20 years later (and even though he deposited for 25 years, he missed all that extra time of compound interest. the key is time with compounding. hope that helps.
+Notgivingmyrealname I understand it can sometimes be tricky to grasp...in essence because William started at 20, and earned 10% each year on the $4k he added every year for those 20 years, then he stopped adding to it, but didn't touch it and left it earning for another 25 years, that additional compounding interest over time is why he ends up with 600% more...his brother only put his money in for 25 years and had no extra compounding time. in effect only 25 years, vs 45 years that William had. Any clearer?
Would you still to work at the age of 80? What about leaving something to your kids and allow them to have a better start in life than you did? And if you dont have kids or family, open a few Roth IRAs for kids you know deserve a better future? Dont always think of yourself. Think bigger
Metaverse certificates are the best today to compound your money. It can help you compound $2000 so that in 6 years or less you have about $ 2 million for retirement.
To me .....the MOST IMPORTANT POINT of this video ......is to get started early in your life.
That's the real magic

Why does William make more if it was a shorter period of time??

+Malcolm Pollard I guess I'm missing something. If the more time equals more compound then why would when 1 starts make a difference

+Malcolm Pollard in essence the longer money is left untouched the more profit makes?
WHO ON EARTH EARNS 20 PERCENT INTEREST A YEAR?
I don't know if I am thinking too fast but whats the point of having $35M when you're 80 years old?

Youll have 200 thousand and not 20 million in 20 years. Who calculated this?
i did but what??? is he laying? or making it sound too good?
He’s calculating with different fees I believe one with lower fees cost and one with higher fees

This is all assuming that you bought the right stocks that gained over time and not the opposite
The s&p 500 has gained over 10% return every year that’s a historical fact
You dont have to assume. Get the 500 index fund. This way you ensure to have a slice of the 500 biggest US companies
