Thank you, Richard Bradford, for suggesting this song. You called it right. Not having seen the movie, it brings to mind a few extraordinary moments in my life that could have used a soundtrack. This is a keeper -- going into several playlists.
@@richardbradford1772 Your suggestions are most welcome. I wrote myself a note and pinned it on my bulletin board. Thanks again. One thing that movie magic had to get around: Vanessa is 5'-11" tall while Dustin is 5'-7" -- perhaps they used a small wooden box.
This lovely romantic theme is from when Hoffman's character was walking Redgrave's character to the door at the baths to say goodnight. The scene and the music is romance.... like none other.
This is the scene as Hoffman's character walks Redgrave's to her door at Harrogate. It is among the tenderest love scenes ever filmed and Mandel's sublime score reminds me of loves past and indulged in the most sublime way.
I love you Sam, still, with all my heart and soul. You live in my heart and you will forevermore. Oh how I miss you.
That was stunningly beautiful. I vaguely remember seeing the movie but don’t remember underscore that lovely.
I own the DVD... I can't watch this scene enough. It's romance itself. Mandel was the master.
See it again. I have it on DVD... this scene is transcendent.
